Need your advice on a box build for two sundown audio SA-8 dual 2ohm. Not so good at box building so any advice will help. This is what i came up with so far.

These measurements are external.

Height - 12"
Lenght - 21.5"
Depth - 13.5"
Wood thickness - 3/4"

That works out to 1.5 cubes for the internal volume. They recommend 0.5-0.75 ft^3 @ 35hz for 1 sub ported.

For the port i came up with this and its 1 port only. Not sure if i did this right to achieve around 35Hz.

Height - 10.5"
Width - 3/4"
Lenght - 9.5"
Wood thickness - 3/4"

SUB SPECS

RE: 3.28 ohms
FS: 41.6 Hz
VAS: 3.285 L
Qes: 0.513
Qms: 6.606
Qts: 0.476
Le: 2.778 mH
BL: 17.138 N/A
Mms: 175.654 g
Sens: 78.476 dB
RMS: 400 Watts

Let me know what you guys think. Should i go with a slightly bigger box and add internal bracing? Not sure how to minus for bracing and port as well. Any box ideas will help thanks.

Try using the RE Audio Box Calculator. It's free, google it.

With 3/4 MDF you don't need bracing also for that box the cuts would not be large as to flex.

You can google Chris Torres box calculator and download it..it's the simplest and accurate one out.

Also for port area go with 12-16 square inches of port area per Cubic foot of box volume.

Stick to the recommended .5-.75 ft per sub.

W / h
The ratio of W to h should not be any more than 9 to 1 to prevent tuning shifts introduced by excessive friction between the rapidly moving air and the port's surface. It should be noted that this is not a hard-and-fast rule, merely a rule of thumb to help you prevent a mis-tuning.

In short, keep the port as square as aesthetically and physically possible.

I didn't double check your calculations but once you follow Sundown's recommendations, you will be pleased.

The 12 - 16 square inches of cross sectional port area pre cubic foot of net internal box volume is good to follow as well.
