unplugged wastegate hose today in the gdi 4g93t just for experiment because its the only way i know how to dig up in it. Well, no boost gauge, im assuming on 1st it was probably reaching 14-15psi, but its one hell of a monster! Stock is like blah, nothing, does not feel like boost compared to whatever it did.

At 5500rpm or so, pinging did occur, so some steps need to be taken for increasing boost in these engines.

Only thing i can think i can do is, upgrade tank fuel pump, run a water/meth kit, a turbo that can handle plenty boost, but lets say 10-12psi for start but good spool on the 1.8 and some mixture of race gas. Currently i have 2.25" exhaust right thru with HKS barrel and resonator, mishimoto good sized intercooler, 2.25" intercooler piping, hks ssqv, and cone filter. Soon to install oil cooler.

Turbo choice would be an evo 3 stock turbo or a GT22 turbo by garrent, good for up to 280hp for 1.7-2.2L engines.

Imagine this engine with that turbo, 14psi, reflashed ecu, and the other mods.....should run sweet!

Hi Guys

I have a 4wd manual 4g93t ck lancer. I'm looking for the axle seal. Can anyone help?
757-4795

Went in the company, they cant answer me if the have the seal unless i bring in to old one, but my car cant be down for too long. If anyone has any experience with this, i would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks

make sure and check your fuse too when changing that, if the relay too small, fuse might be too.

You can run the starter wire to the ignition switch and try from there. If it still does it, then its the starter itself need servicing. Its a single small gauge wire(not the one with the 12 bolt on it, a push clip one) You can just connect a wire to that terminal when u unplug it and run it to the ignition switch when u tumble and see if it starts.

I have done it on a good bit of cars and most of them has no need for starter relay, and these are cars thats still running without one for 2-3+ years now.

If everything is original, then the relay need changing, no need for upgraded relay unless current system is frying, and by putting an upgrade relay, you risk burning out more stuff.

GDi 4g93t men, secure all vacuum lines etc....last nite i had mines from the valve to the turbo actuator pop off, and the car hit almost 18psi and scared the hell outta me! Did not notice it until i watched the gauge and pressed again and saw the gauge flying up and then a LOUD rattle! Ended up running new vacuum hoses and clamps on every one thats existing
