It's mostly a long drive down to the southernmost tip (turn on your GPS of use googlemaps, it's really cool!)

THe terain there is mostly mangrove-like, with some grassy areas around the coconuts. Passable for stock-trucks on all-terrains.
Last time we went, we went only as far as Cedros, nearly drowned ourselves in a rive (see my avatar) and ended up playing in and around the coconut plantations (found plenty mud!)

The beach in icacos real nice to drive on, just watch out for sand dunes and hidden little crevices - you can potentially break an axle or leafspring there if you drive too fast!

We ent speeding down the beach; not because of the potential suspension damage, but because of the potential PEOPLE damage. A lot of children like to lie in these small pits and you cannot see them.

Run Report:

OK, after some last minute absenteeism, 5 vans met at Pizza Hut GC

After some small scrutineering and the usual ole talk, we left around 0815 Hrs
after a couple of stops along the way, we arrived at Icacos

a touching moment as 2 long lost brothers finally kiss and make up

driving as far as we could, we decided to have a mini "ironman" competition. alas, the lack of LSD was the downfall of some

then one newbie decide to lose his virginity

and was promptly sorted out by an oldie newbie :lol:

went for a romp in some grass

and then proceeded to Columbus Bay where the run ended.

2 Hiluxes, 1 Navara, 1 Ranger and 1 B2500

special welcome to Paullct and trinibajan for making the drive
