Does anyone know what the average cost is to replace a NZE evaporator? I went by Ryan Air today and they quoted me $5000.00 installed. The last time I changed an evap was about 4 yrs ago on an AE110 and the price back then was just over $1000. Have prices increased by so much? I know its a different car etc but jeez

i paid 1500 for a new brand one in bamboo forgot the name of the place though. dont install the smaller one otherwise it would not cool good. many ppl put them in an stuff the space with styrofoam(sp) toyota is 5500 for it

paid $960 or so for a new Evaporator from Maraj Air Conditioning in San Juan & $500 to install by Andy's Air Conditioning on Caroni Savannah Road aprroximately 1 year ago in my NZE.

Wheyz...we always keep our prices as low as possible...our full size nze evaps are more affordable right now..we had them for $400 last month but as we receive new stock the price fluctuates...hopefully we can drop this sales price next container of stock..can't go wrong purchasing from Parts2go for all your auto a/c parts needs.

toyota has the evaporator at ~5100k

so ended up going to maraj - bought a universal evaporator (575) which is a smidgen smaller than the original....they (installers) make up the difference with styrofoam....

If you have a JDM roro - prepare to pay through the teeth to have it changed as they have to scrap the entire dashboard to get to the evaporator.....would not recommend this as a DIY project....

walk with a filter one time to replace the old one (dash does not need to be scarped to replace this & can be done at a later date ~55TT for the filter)

Cost to install + vacuum + gas up ~1500 (~2.5 to 3 hours time)

Wow..you installed a Chinese evaporator on a dashboard job??? hopefully you'll get some life out of it...did you consult an experienced technician about the failure rates on these Chinese evaporators...sometimes the techs won't tell you because when it fails again it equals more money in their pocket. If you need an evaporator with warranty call us....& you couldn't support a fellow tuner business by purchasing the same from us?
