Is it only me but this is totally unacceptable for a capital city of arguably the best caribbean nation in terms of wealth, gdp, etc...This place not even good to rear duck and hog, but alas we are still a blackwater banana republic no matter what they tell yuh

I firmly believe that the continuous flooding of POS is not going away in the foreseeable future.
In the 70's when I worked at Barclays Bank, Salvatori Branch flooding of the streets with the attendant floating and bumping of parked vehicles were regular events in the rainy season.
Today with the installation with all kinds of 'Super 'buildings which further restrict the ability of run off and associated subterraneous impediments, how in heavens name are things expected to improve.
Many have taken the liberty to suggest a retention system, but the acreage required to manage volume and flow rate just don't exist.
When some decades ago a move to depopulate POS was indicated the relevant population firmly resisted this idea.Funnily today POS people heading to central (the flood plains).

I does have a way to fix the flooding problem in POS we just need the right set of people to do it.
