couple questions for the more experienced guys here:

seeing that it's gonna be a fully built motor, is it absolutely necessary to change oil/water pump? my current ones seem to be pretty good...

If yes, what's the technical reason for doing so.....instead of 'bai just put new ting an done nahhh' :?:

Thx for any and all info, knowledgable ones.

Cause you fully built you feel you can skimp on other components

5e flywheel (200mm)……or redrilled 4efte flywheel (212mm), OR try to get the 5e bolt pattern flywheel that holds the 212mm clutch set up (usually found on some 3E engines)
- 5e clutch and 5e pressure plate OR 4efte clutch and 4efte pressure plate….NOT to be mixed and matched

- what size injectors u plans to be using 330cc,460cc or 550cc???

Should at least inspect the water pump and have a look at the impellers, as they sometimes corrode when the engine's out.
As for the oil pump definitely something you can't skimp on, lack of oil is a gonna sheit up bearings and rings in no time.

Is that 2 BOV's I'm seeing there?
One on the hot side and one one the cold side?

Any particular reason why?

I know some high boost applications run 2 BOVs often right next to each other and closer to the throttle body.

Just trying to expand my knowledge!!

If it results in more HP, performance etc then the discovery must be shared with the wider tuner community.

nono....for every problem that can be foreseen, someone must have a solution for it or went through it on this forum..

after all, this is the place to come for technical information

so another good point raised by shinakuma there then: what can be done about the traction issues?

Many options have you Master Obi wan....

1. Broad moffin tyres...as broad as your clearances will allow;
2. Launch/Traction control....2 step bizniz...should be a cinch if you going standalone;
3. Wider gearing ratios.

^^^ y'all can add to this list.

it is common knowledge after a certain amount of hp in a fwd car it becomes impractical, you'll suffer from issues such as traction,torque steer.

Now I'm talking about a street application.

RWD accelerates better.The weight of the car transfers to the rear when the car accelerates forward. This is why FWD cars receive poor traction, and RWD cars receive excellent traction.

Hmmm so are FWD restricted to a certain HP? I don't think traction is such an issue there will however be a problem with steer at high torque but isn't the car gonna be used for drags?
Then the car can also be tuned differently for high and low boost, tame the beast for street use.

A172 are you gonna use any aftermarket Cams?
