Ten out of 10! That’s what Neil Armstrong and Barry Ward achieved on the Bronte and Cedar Hill stages in the south of the island to lead the Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club’s (TTRC) 10th Anniversary Rally Trinidad 2014 by more than three-and-a-half minutes at the end of day two. All did not go entirely smoothly, however, as a damaged engine mount on the Suzuki SX4 WRC needed some attention during the day, with the service crew ready to replace it overnight.Full Story
Sunday turned out to be a test of nerves with Powell needing to find 18 seconds to catch Gill and Panton just 15 seconds off of Powell. Gregg’s only hope for a podium finish would be a mistake by one of the front runners which would actually materialize late on Sunday. Powell came out a determined competitor and showed his true grit as the lead was cut to 3 seconds after the first 4 stages. Gill was sweeping after being first on Saturday and this proved costly as there was little he could do to hold off the charge by Powell.Full Story

Rally Trinidad is a 4-day event that kicks off on Thursday 29th March with a Scrutineering session at a to-be-determined location in South Trinidad. John “Penti” Powell co-driven by Jason Costelloe were victorious again at another TTRC championship rally event at Cedar Hill. Jason last co-drive for John when they both won at Rally Trinidad 2011. Latiff Khan again impressed taking top spot in group 3-A., Reyaz Mohammed for the 2nd consecutive rally took first place in group 2-4, and Donald Gopaul was the fastest 2 wheel drive on the day.Full Story
Maiden victories where the order of the day during the latest round of this year’s TTRC high speeds rally stages. The tricky Cedar Hill stage once again claimed many victims, with a host of cars running off throughout the day.
