The Rally finished with the remaining competitors putting on a show for the Mayor of Chaguanas, in the ever popular Mayor’s Cup in Saith Park. The short 1.4km tarmac super special was packed to a capacity crowd, and of course it was donut time to bring Rally Trinidad 2012 to a fitting close. Jeffrey Panton deftly powered through the streets of Chaguanas to win the Mayor’s Cup with the fastest time and received his award from the Mayor His Worship Orlando Nagessar.Full Story

Rally Trinidad is a 4-day event that kicks off on Thursday 29th March with a Scrutineering session at a to-be-determined location in South Trinidad. Scrutineering is the first chance for the public to come and see all the cars and meet the teams as the event is free and open to all members of the public.Full Story
RT11 ended in Saith Park Chaguanas as in previous years. This leg was patronised by His Worship Mayor Orlando Nagassar and well attended by an enthusiastic crowd that lined the streets and every possible vantage point. They were treated to some spectacular driving by Panton, Powell and Gill, who eventually captured the coveted Mayor’s Cup title and trophy. Son of Chaguanas Ainsley Lochan, who did not compete this year, brought RT11 to a finale by making an appearance in his colourful EVO IX and delighted the fans with some fancy driving.Full Story
The grand finale of Rally Trinidad 2010 culminated into a dramatic show on the cordoned off streets of Chaguanas. The Bajans “put it broad” on the tarmac, which they are more at home on. In fact every driver who was still running got a chance to show their skills to the capacity crowd. The climax ultimately came when Higgin/Grist took John Powell’s WRC S12 for two hot laps, decimating the competition and winning the Mayor’s Cup in the process. The driving skill, action and excitement was unbelievable. A fitting end to a fantastic rally, perhaps the best we’ve seen in T&T.Full Story
