Ford unveiled its 2016 collection to the public on Thursday night at the McEnearney Motors showroom in Port of Spain. The Ranger, Fusion and Everest are expected to redefine your experience on the road and exceed your driving needs. In keeping with the impeccable, unblemished name that is the Ford, the unveiling was held in a manner, which reflected a name, which is a pioneer in the automotive industry.

Specially invited guest were greeted with the warm and friendly smiles of the beautiful Ford brand ambassadors, whose beauty was only second to the automobiles they represented. The Ford logo boldly displayed across the room representing its and living up to its tagline “built tough”. The carded program flowed according to schedule as everyone was eager to get a glimpse of these masterpieces, speeches were given as members from both the local and international Ford team gave their takes on these amazing machines. Upon unveiling, these thunderous monsters donned the showroom as a pinnacle of perfection infused with a potent combination of style, luxury and beauty.

Ford Ranger

The new 2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrack represents the essence of modernity in its class. The first thing that catches the eye on the exterior of the Ranger is the striking front fascia incorporating a huge iconic Ford front grille and bumper. Added to that is the noticeable metallic orange color (orange pride) and its complementing orange interior accents which gives the vehicle a sporty, contemporary feel.

The Ranger has been redesigned with a more aggressive and rugged appearance, boasting high resistant steel and aluminum exterior panels which reduces the weight of the vehicle and also boasts the newly designed grille, bumpers and an enhanced chassis.

Upgrades on the diesel lineup features 120 PS and 150 PS variants of the 2.2 and 3.2 TDCi engine with start/stop technology and is available in both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions where customers have the option of selecting 4-wheel or 2-wheel drive alternatives.

Additional features include multi-range seat adjustments, up to 800mm deep (that’s almost 3 feet!) wading capability in water, 3,500 kg towing capability, voice activated connectivity system and electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation and trailer sway control.

Ford Everest

The Ford Everest is symbolic of both ‘new’ Ford and ‘established’ Ford vehicles. In keeping along the lines of a rugged appearance, the Everest is a 7-seater SUV which combines smart features, technological advancement and versatility with true off-road capability.

The Everest comes with full-time four-wheel drive with dual-range gearing, settings for different off-road conditions and a 3.2-liter, 5-cylinder TDCi diesel engine. The 2.2 liter 4-cyliner TDCi diesel engine option is also available. The interior is simple with no added frills with generous legroom and headroom. Individual air conditioning vents for occupants are set throughout the cabin along with 12 volt outlets for charging phones and other electronics.

Other features include adaptive cruise control, electronic traction control, lane keeping aid and blind spot information. The Everest is capable and competent in difficult off-road conditions, and is the ultimate vehicle for terrains.

Ford Fusion

Classy and competent, the Ford Fusion is acclaimed as a design leader in the midsize sedan segment. The Fusion comes standard with a 1.5 LI4 GTDI high performance engine, 6-speed select shift automatic transmission offering maximum fuel economy, along with SYNC with Bluetooth audio streaming; a rearview camera; tilt/telescoping steering; cruise control and steering-wheel controls for audio and phone.
