Re: WTK. which 8" sub to use.

Logical selection choice over "he say, she say" = A speaker with a high fs and low qts suggests a big box with rugged response, which can get quite peaky leading to harsh sounding bass.Sadly though, as power ratings go up, musicality is thrown out the window for output. Most of the suggest...

Re: single 12'' judging from mk car show 6/4/14

I will agree on the basis for spectral balance, if a song is reproduced as required, spectral balance points can be awarded with or without sub bass. On the other hand, if a competitors' song does not contain any sub bass, then no sub bass points can or should be awarded. It's not a matter of lookin...

Re: single 12'' judging from mk car show 6/4/14

so if there is a song with no sub bass, then how does one get points for that said sub bass? I would understand a much higher score in midbass, but sub bass points should not be applicable where there is none also, what happened to installs that were focused on the majority of the audio spectrum rat...

Re: single 12'' judging from mk car show 6/4/14

too bad this is what competitors have been calling bass- MID-BASS (60Hz-200Hz) All Classes 1 to 10 points The Judge will focus on the sounds in this frequency range produced by the source material. These should be reproduced smoothly with good detail and proper attack and decay. I wonder if anyone w...

Re: Faital PRO 6FE200 and RS6-260 same speaker?

An installer said he didn't know the RS Audio brand. RS Audio - Randy and Selwin audio from RASH electronics in Princess Town A speaker repair man said he didn't know the brand but thought both speakers looked very similar. He concluded that it was possible that one might be an imitation. They both...

Re: Want to buy speakers

But aren't you really limited in bandwidth as far as bass goes? I had some plans to do something similar, the faitals fe 6 & 8" simmed alot better than the eminence midranges. Decided on faital's 4fe35 fullranges in a 1/4 wave enclosure. Just have to build it now. yes, i agree, they will l...

Re: Question to experienced men for Navara install

the rear doors are limited to mounting dept of 4" with a 3/4" spacer ring, and with some interior trim removal, you can easily fit up to 1.25" of spacer ring, giving you an extra .5" clearance there are high output car audio/pa hybrid speakers available now, with shallow mounting...

Re: small Mids advice plz PRV vs faital vs 18sound

i have 4 10 PRV in my car, and its performing better than the 6 10's (410RCF and 2 10BNC) I had in it before. (must take this comparison with a pinch of salt as mids box design and placement, tuners and crews were changed from Tweety Tuned Audio to Audio Ripple which caused this mids line change) h...

Re: Question to experienced men for Navara install

Both the front and rear doors can hold 8" PA grade speakers.I have managed to fit the 18sound 8" there already with not clearance problems. On the better side, for the sake of midbass and lower mid, I would recommend the b and c 8ps21 in a properly dampened door or the 8NW51. But, all this...

Hello, I've had the opertunity to use both drivers at their best, and I must say the eminence is a tad bit better off than the selenium. The eminence extends well into the 20khz range, and is very natural sounding, whereas the 220ti struggles to get past the 16k range, and usually requires a tweeter....
