Re: Acceptable lifespan for average car battery!

Anybody ever used BOSCH batteries, looking to try it next month... WhatsApp Image 2023-03-08 at 01.42.15.jpg I'm on my second Bosch which I'm looking to replace after 33 months. Previous Bosch lasted about the same. 2 liter Honda Accord. Will look for something larger, probably closer to 60 Ah. I u...

Re: Anyone ordered from amayama.com?

Finally received my order after 6 months and 1 week. Shipped with Ems and TTPOST. With the cost of the mount alone locally, I got the mount, 2 gaskets and o ring. https://forums.trinituner.com/upload/data/b5/20210806_095114.jpg https://forums.trinituner.com/upload/data/22/20210806101451-20210806_095...

Re: Acceptable lifespan for average car battery!

My Bosch lasted 5 years before showing signs of failure Yes, I find the Bosch S4 series to be really good. You can get a good 5 years with them, and I am constantly driving because of my job in sales. As for what is acceptable, I would say 3 years solid for the average-priced battery, but the Bosch...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

^^ I find that a plunge router with edge guide is much better and safer way to make mortises than using router table. Especially for long boards. I cheap out and made an edge guide with threaded rods and mdf and it works ok but is a pain to adjust. Wish i bought the Bosch one same time as the router...

Allied has a big selection, most around $1.5k and up. If you do get that Wen, let us know how it works, i need a belt sander too and that price looks great. I bought the wen sander last year. Only used it on 2 boards but it did what it supposed to do with no problems. Plenty dust as expected and it...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

The bosch 1617 is the best if you want 1 router, since it has variable speed and mid range hp and 2 sub bases so you could fit 1 in a router table and leave it there. The fixed base has a hole for above the table height adjustments, which is great if you mount it on a table A frequent complaint i ca...

Re: High pitch noise coming from brakes

The shims? I took them out completely and was still experiencing the noise, so its not them. In fact I started getting the noise of the pads shaking so I placed them back in. Not the shims. Parts labelled 47716 and 47717: Toyota sells them as the fitting kit http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_200209 ...

Re: High pitch noise coming from brakes

This is some good advice Remove brake pad and rub on a coarse sheet of sand paper and see if this helps. Assuming you are using a 'substitute' set of pads, which use a lot of metal in compound..crystalisation of pad surface may have occurred. When the above happens, these pads upon interface with wor...

Not much work as you may think.
Our's had the major wiring in the engine bay, fuse box and relay box already.
The installer just had remove the plastic covers, plug in the lamps, relay, fuse and wire in the switch.

Does the car restart normal after it cuts off ?

Had that problem with an older car. It would cut off after it idle for a while and wouldn't restart until a few hours later. lights, horn etc working normal

Mechanic changed the distributor module and it started and run normal afterwards.

Re: The NZE Corolla Thread

At the others suggested above, it may be low refrigerant or the compressor is on its way out. Try this for the refrigerant part: (Taken from corolla repair manual) With all doors open, engine running at 1500 rpm, and fan on max position, check for bubbles in the sight glass. Diagnosis: Bubbles prese...

Re: Water Tank help....

If the tank is full, you'll get 4-5 psi pressure. if the mains supply is greater than this, the mains will supply the house and fill the tank. If not, the tank will supply the house. There should be a check valve on the main supply line flowing in direction to house so the tank water does not drain ...

Sorry to hear that man. There is no module under the driver's or passenger seat. There is a seat position airbag sensor under the driver's seat if your car came equipped with that. The seat has to be removed to get to it. There are airbag sensors in the engine bay mounted on the frame. They are the ...

Re: WTK: GASKET(FOR OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG) on NZE

The washer is the gasket. Its commonly called a 'crush washer' and is crushed when the plug is tightened. That way it forms a perfect seal, like a gasket. Its a non reusable part, especially how yours is so thin now. If it cant be crushed anymore, then it works like a normal washer. Parts places sho...
