So I put in a thermostat in the Y12 (didn't have one) and I realise the top radiator hose getting rell hot but the bottom hose barely hot.

Also, the fans coming on at full speed after about 10 minutes of idle and it seems to not be cutting off. I waited like 10 minutes and it still on....

Thoughts?

Your water temps would be low but the block temp would be higher. In a modern fuel injected engine you need a thermostat to regulate the temperature. You really want to chance driving around knowing that the hose could give out at any time? You could chance overheating and ruining your engine. It's a hose - go get it fixed. I have a slight coolant leak in the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine block. Nothing much, but it leaking. Around the connection very rusty and the hose tell difficult to come off to change.

Pry it off and change it or let it run jusso?
