Hey guys, just purchased a second hand Skoda Octavia mk2 (not the facelift model) and things were going fine. Drove it home from central no worries. Drove it yesterday morning no worries. Yesterday evening though, only getting reverse, no drive. Checked the tranny fluid this morning and the oil is c...
Hi guys , got a skoda Felicia combi and my front window glass is of the tracks. Can some one recommend what vehicle track I can replace the old one with? Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a used mk2 Octavia, the first model. There are not much issues, but the headunit /combination display has a shut ...
Any updates? I recently purchased a Rover 200 (Nov. 2017) with a d15b manual conversion. I have done some engine/bay work to it and it runs good. But like DjQ i need to get a fuel pump (as the car cuts off when it wants) and a radiator, so the car is sitting at the moment. I am about to switch to so...
Success I "bench bled" the MC while still in the car and that i believed solved the problem. I got two ends of brake line with the flare nuts from my friendly neighborhood FU parts place, zip tied two pieces of clear hose onto the other ends, screwed them onto the MC with the clear hose e...
Thanks for the advice. I did a complete service on all brakes. Changed pads, bleed valves, cylinders in the rear. Same with the front, pads, pistons, slide pins, boot seals, new brake lines, bleed valves At this point though I really think the MC is faulty, but I could be wrong.. I am open minded to...
Check the combination valve.. Which is really more of a distribution block (2 inlets 4 outlets). Cracked all the lines to reconfirm it was distributing (which I was not doubting since I was getting fluid at all four corners when bleeding) Bled the MC at the two outlets (no air released) just as a do...
Yeah, I looked at the combination valve, but it's an old model and I am not seeing the orifice to open when bleeding the brake system. I also noticed a seal that came with the MC (for under the cover) was not installed. So I installed it and will check again tomorrow.. I am hoping that thats where t...
Well Dave that means the booster is good. The more I think about it the more I feel like I should change the check valve, gonna try to bleed the MC itself and see if it works..
update Well i've had no improvement. After servicing all four brakes, the pedal still sinks. Checked the check valve and vacuum line from the booster to the intake. No leaks. the funny thing is that i can stand on the pedal with the ignition off and as soon as i strart the car the brake pedal gets ...
I'm hoping it's not as I was getting this problem before I changed the booster recently.. I will service the two fronts and if I still get the problem.. I will change the booster again...it would suck knowing that I replaced a bad booster with a bad one though... But at least I will have confidence ...
Well well...after replacing the cylinders, shoes, even bleed valves in the rear brakes the pedal still sinks to the floor. Bled the rear brakes and was disappointed when the pedal still reacted they way it did. So now it's onto the front brakes... Since I know the rears are good. Pulled down the fro...
