yes you can import it unfortunately you will have to 1 either disassemble in parts or 2 cut the vehicle in half as it will have to enter the country as car parts. if you try to import as a whole car you will have to apply for an import license which you will not get due to the age of the vehicle and...

no there is no law unless you have access to a d plate you will be required to hire a flatbed to remove said vehicle.

mine is on the left..the law states that a plate must be affixed to front of said vehicle nothing about placement whether it be in the middle or sides.

had the same problem when i tinted my front windscreen water got down in mine that's a harness issue it is either originating from the fuse panel on the driver or passenger footwell side.

sanch it really not that hard you go to the site best buy, walmart, brandsmart, etc and you purchase in the shipping address you put the freight forwarder address its sent there and then we send it to trinidad. you pay your duties and collect your stuff. car was imported by a returning resident and has stayed there since coming out of the container.. the rent on said vehicle far surpasses the cost of the car trust me i checked.

car is extremely nice had the pleasure to drive it off when it arrived. looks and feels very executive but agreed the cost will be expoential.. there was also a gs450 on board cant remember if it was for here tho.

it would still be dutyable and vatable just no motor vehicle tax as it would be registered as parts. she should have consulted a broker before making that purchase. the major cost is the motor taxes which is due to engine size which is high because of the fuel subsidy. her cif was little so the vat ...

2j range from 18-28k dependent on model and which transmission or box option. to get the engine in the car and wired, fuel lines, pump, intercooler and piping, rad an fan combo, exhaust, oils and little odds and ends approximately 10-15k again.

even via air it can be damaged the best bet is to have it properly boxed or crated then the choice of shipping up to u... had a guy buy a spoiler for a chevy cruze out of miami the supplier did a sheit job of using just bubble wrap and a huge cardboard box and sure enough it arrived here damaged.

i finished my 1j vvti conversion a few weeks now.. took a total of about a week and a half to get it in the car wired and running, the keep back was my driveshaft. strangely i notice my speedo works and this was by no way intentional of the electrician. i only have the jz ecu installed at the moment...
