Re: NEW VEHICLE PRICES IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

^^DOes the new Tiguan suffer from the DSG transmission woes of the older models? I know of two people (PCL and PCM Tiguans) who both had transmission woes...up until the trans was replaced. Of course, that was done under warranty, but after lots of headache and trying to "convince" dealers...

^^If you're concerned about preserving your OEM floormats, why not do what I do - get a set of "cheaper" mats (which match your interior of course), and place them over the existing mats if possible.

Re: The Official Car Care Thread

6.All compounds, polishes, glazes and waxes do have fillers in them. How much fillers it depends. I beg to disagree. I've used Megs Ult Compound, M205, Mothers Pre Wax, Griots P3 etc etc so far via machine, and after a wipedown (p21S), didn't look like there was any filling effect....at least, from...

^^What type of "orbital" do you use? Most "generic" orbitals come with pads that may or may not damage your paint. And most generic ones don't have proper speed adjustment Most "detailer" orbitals (like the Megs G110V2, Griots 6", PC7424XP) use application specific...

Re: The Official Car Care Thread

^^Well you don't HAVE to buy the wax. To me, it sounds like you're hooked on the brand name, instead of what the product should actually be doing FOR you. You can use AG Extra Gloss Protection instead. It's a synthetic sealant, which functions as an LSP just like HDwax. In my experience, it works ju...

GOld Class Shampoo is far superior to ICE shampoo in my experience. I'd go as far as to say that Gold Class is one of the best "average consumer" line washes on the market today.....and in my experience, suds up alot better than AG car wash also. No nemesis , I'm not talking about niche pr...

Re: The Official Car Care Thread

nemesis, how long does the Autoglym Super Resin Polish last on average? Longevity depends on: 1) How the surface is prepped prior to application 2) How much "weather" the car sees 3) How the car is washed (if you use AGlym car wash, it'll extend the life. If you use Dishwashing liquid, it...

Ogoarman... if everything down... tha means that we have to wait at least three days for them to START production, much less fill the tanks... so a week before any new gasolene supply (Guessing here) even if issues resolved? Most likely Petrotrin would have bought foreign produced gasolene because ...

Re: The Official Car Care Thread

^^I've used Turtle Wax ICE products. Rubbish as far as I'm concerned. Their "polish" is not a polish at all, but more like a sealant. And that "sealant" lasts only a couple of washes before beading goes to naught. The only good thing about it is that it's easy on-easy off, and th...

Re: World's Greatest Drag Race 2!

McLaren made a gr8 showing against the LP700. Funny how "american muscle" dropped to lower places - traction is a helluva thing I suppose. 911S did better than the ZL1, and is packs less power, and is still RWD. Still love meh Skyline The new GT-R is not called a Skyline anymore. "Sky...

Re: NEW VEHICLE PRICES IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

oh and why buy a WRX STi for $575k when you can get the Audi A6 2.0T for slightly le ss or a Mercedes Benz E250 for same? Sure the STi will hit 60mph in 4.6s but the Benz will do it in 3-4s later.
