Re: MAZDA BT50 OWNERS WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS AND/OR REVIEWS

oh if you use the amzoil engine oil, you can change at say every 15,000 km instead of 5. it is rated for even longer.
you can use a long life filter as well to match or, buy the normal filter but change the filter every 5000 km as normal... whichever works better for you.

Re: MAZDA BT50 OWNERS WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS AND/OR REVIEWS

no. the rear diff is 3 quarts of severe. might be a little less than the full 3. you want to fill it just below the fill point. the bt-50 manual outlines the correct measurement. the front and centre diff. and gear box should take the next 4. approximately. I can't remember the measurement for the g...

Re: MAZDA BT50 OWNERS WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS AND/OR REVIEWS

i used amzoil. it'll take about 3 quart of severe (that is the black container) and for the front and centre, you can buy 4 quarts (normal clear bottles) and you should be safe with that. go by fazal in princes town, he has the best prices and he will handle you decent. all of that should cost about...

Re: MAZDA BT50 OWNERS WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS AND/OR REVIEWS

team evo and hamah... did you guys solve the issue? it sounds to me 100% like you have a cracked head. however, as bt50 said, it COULD be your glow plugs. what you can do is remove the plugs and check the resistance. between that and the head should be about .75 ohms. also, you can just run it direc...

Re: WTB: rollbar - hilix

i did paul, but the thing is, i was trying to get one a little "smaller". ideally i want a single pipe and i was hoping the triangles would be a little smaller. your triangles go past the middle of the tray. i can explain why; when i stack crates in the tray, they fit and transport better ...

WTB: rollbar - hilix

so there should be a lot of offroading junkies here or at least men who actually use their trays. I need to get a roll bar for my van, but i want something that i could actually put a piece of angle iron on if i go to the hardware. it doesn't need to be proper "roll bar" for offroading and...

Re: Tech Thread - Toyota Hilux...D4D and all older models.

i was asking about the mileage, you might get slight bit of abnormal feedback from brand new brakes. it should smoothen out as the brakes get worn to fit seamlessly with the slight shape difference of the face of the rotor. yeh, well my salesman assured me i didn't need a timer. i then referred him ...

Re: Tech Thread - Toyota Hilux...D4D and all older models.

thaz strange, you have the 3.0 2kd 4x2 right? engine issues are the same, both with the same vn turbo as far as i know. strange that our manuals differ. best bet is to go with your manual. i would err on the side of caution and cool my turbo given that it says so in other 2kd manuals in your market ...

@ rainmann and aaron the engines are NOT broken in.... i have no idea why all of a sudden we are being told that engines come magically broken in. don't trust sales people or even service "technicians". i had a long debate in ford when i was looking at purchasing a new ranger as to the fac...

Re: Mazda B2500: More Problems. Help Please.

you need to carefully open the bolt which allows the through-flow of fuel. you'll most likely have two brass washers along with it... top and bottom. put that aside and then carefully use maybe a bird beak pliers or a piece of wire and pinch the spring between your finger and the wire or delicately ...

Re: ROUGH IDLING....ONLY WHEN COLD

when last you topped up your radiator water? not coolant, i mean in the radiator itself?
how is the temperature on the temp gauge? have you ever found your ac isn't cooling properly?

you could have a cracked head on your hands. you can have a pressure test done to know.

Re: 3 buying choices.... suggestions?

there are many differences with the auto ranger and the manual. auto has that the manual doesn't: - bluetooth - sidesteps (3.2) - duraliner (3.2) - power outlet in the tray and there are a few others i can't remember. the 3.2 auto is what they call the limited. the 3.2 manual is exactly what aaron w...

Re: 3 buying choices.... suggestions?

fellas ... it looks like the bt-50 comes with a LRD (locking rear diff).... you are supposed to be able to lock it up on demand... this is great for me. the previous mazdas also had a RFW from inside, no other vans to my knowledge had this. i hope the new one has it too...this is a big plus for me.
