Yup, verifying the chassis number on the car against the info on the certified copy is key. Saw an evo 4 and 6 once with the correct chassis number but on the certified copy was showing CK1. Men just put Lancer plates on the car and driving with it normal. Smh But can’t this be considered a “swap” ...

Evo1 chassis number is CD9A Evo 2-3 is CE9A Evo 4 is CN9A Evo 5-6 is CP9A Evo 7-9 CT9A Evo X is CZ4A If you see CB3, CK1, CK2, CK4 (fwd), CY, CS (fwd and some awd) those are lancers although there may be ppl who did actual evo conversions on them without chassis number tampering CM2A is an awd lance...

I owned a peanut sti already and i will guarantee you that evo does hold d road better and u could do what u want with a subaru,the evos are just better design to hog corners.
