Re: LEGACY DASH SKIN FIX?

As the OP said..check Mikey's. A pal of mine did his there and it turned out great. $1200 was the price. Don't bother with scam artists in the Bamboo (55*) who want to charge 4K and others who want to 'order' it for you out of the goodness of their heart.

Re: Need Help! Local Legacy Tranny Problems

hmmm once the numbers don't line up it's a gr8 possibility the jacks wouldn't as well u can compare the pin orientation on the jacks of the tranny u found and see if it wud match up with urs and u can take a chance the slamming into 3rd may be fixed by a TCU reset..use the subaru select monitor and ...

Re: Type of legacy to buy

Circa $320-ish at gaslight lol the LGT is def not a fuel efficient car and if it's cruising they speak off then that's hiway driving for sure..driving around the town/stop and go traffic will wreck your avg km/l..but still not bad for a car weighing over 3000 lbs that being said..its a fun car to ow...

Re: Need Help! Local Legacy Tranny Problems

Hmmm this might be tricky..check the harness of an equivalent model year JDM LGT, in particular..the pin configuration. If it's the same it should work. That being said..also make sure the ratio of the rear diff is the same as on your ADM LGT. A replacement tranny is cheap for model years :'03-'06 H...

Re: 2008 Legacy Cluster Display Language / Key FOB programmi

awww shucks...i wud ah tell the dealer hard luck...one key is ultra risky.. the chip is inside the fob..if u take apart the fob it wud be possible for pix or even rudd to capture the code and trans it to one of the regular coded keys..however..u'd jus have to hold the new key it up to the push to st...

Re: 2008 Legacy Cluster Display Language / Key FOB programmi

^^ No..it will NOT be coded. U'll have to get massey to do it..cutting the key is secondary..its the coding that wud be the challenge.

I'm sure u have the metal tags that came with the key fob.they wud use that to recode it

Re: 2008 Legacy Speedometer Display Language

^^ The spare key for you model was a retrofit to what is now used on all the new model legacies and is till available. The USDM equivalent looks the same however it has panic button and the frequency as Aaron said is different. Even some RORO impreza hatch cars carry the same key.You can get it on j...

Re: 2008 Legacy Speedometer Display Language

Aaron, in the legacy the immobilizer is tied to the BIU and ECU...cool huh? well not really esp for Densil and myself..cuz we both have the push to start :-( and its much harder to recode In the older legacy's '05 etc pix and rudd can sort out the key issue no worries..jus pick up the code..cut and ...

Re: STi cubby guage cluster 08 Legacy

personally id rather see boost in psi than KPa lol

im assuming it comes with all the sender units, sandwich plates etc but the ting is...is it really worth the price? im sure its more reliable and accurate than a prosport but still..is it worth the price?

Re: 2008 Legacy Speedometer Display Language

^ If you have to chg a bad cluster its no prob...however the dealership has to be involved. Re: Need Advice On Purchase Legacy turbo vs non-turbo

Hmm "how fast does the premium burn or rather on average how often would i have to full gas?" Well that question is interesting lol neways it depends on how aggressive you are on the throttle and..given the higher cost of premium fuel than super, expect to spend alot at the pump these cars...

Thats a good point. The replacement pump uses viton seals, new bearing etc..but if it can be done locally, all you need is jus to change out the hoses also and u good.

^^ Most of the guys who replace their pump locally use the rebuilt pumps that come out of the USDM. They are compatible with our JDM's. Don't make massey rich lol..its around 4K if bought locally.
