i just cannot imagine how the parents must be feeling. I suspect this will be settled quietly without anyone being held accountable. No amount of $$ though, will bring back their child or heal their emotional scars.

the sling back is actually very comfortable and convenient as a small/quick carry bag. I'd go with a backpack when i have to walk around with a lot more stuff.

i've had a few guineas over the last couple of years. They are not really aggressive and are great with kids. I use the wood-shavings to line their cage and clean it every 3 days. I've never tried lining with the newspaper bec i'm not sure if the newsprint would affect them. One thing to note though...
