I had the same problem but I was advised to leave it as is so I use my fogs as park lights but holes can be at your own risk

You have to change every thing bumper bonnet grill fenders and you will have to cut the bracket that holds the bumper and drill new holes for it to fit I am doing the conversion right now

I have a local 99-00 ek3 civic and the idle revs from 1000 to 2000 rpm i was told it could be the idle controll valve but i bought a throttle body in the bamboo and got the same problem, any help would be appreciated

also when the mechanic block off the choke it stopped reving

It is under the dash and very hard to get to, your best bet is to let an aircondition tech do the job, it might be hard to get a new fiter but the technician could just change the fliter material
