Re: Advice!

If you want more than 2.8Vrms at the input of your amplifiers sure. If this processor is being installed near the amplifiers you should be fine. That processor manual states things in a very funny way, why would you give the input sensitivities and preout voltages as a peak to peak number? To inflat...

I once bought at triple R but that was some years now.
0 awg is more readily available and may end up being around the same cost.

Re: Subwoofer for small space?

I did not even know people use point 3 above as an approach. I guess if you have capable DSP you can. IMO usually the more EQ and "DSP capability" you require after your system was built indicates poor decisions in the earlier stages whether it be driver selection or system design.

Re: Subwoofer for small space?

^I'm not sure if you inputted the TS correct there. I had the 12TW3 in my WinISD database and the plot is no where as misaligned in your screen shot. Verify the TS against the manual.

Sure there are other plots to looks at, however, try to flatten those responses first.

Re: Subwoofer for small space?

That's great to know the intent is not a "price battle". As I said, I have no issue with the chinese manufacturing.

Will surely try the soundfire whenever opportunity arises.

Funny thing, I now installed a subwoofer in a small space! A single JL audio TW1 10" in a precision ported enclosure behind the rear seat of a hilux. Net volume was under 1cuft and and was blown away with the amount output and the lower end. This aint your ordinary "slim sub" Yup. Wi...

If you're interested, I know a guy who had a Rockford T600.4 and P1000.1 for sale in mint condition.
This may be better option than the brazillian and has small footprint.

Box look a bit small for 1.7cuft per woofer. Or was that that the gross volume using the external dimensions?

Re: Sub Woofer box tuning.

Not only is the port length too long, but a 2" vent is too small for a 12" car audio woofer. The minimum I'd use is a 4" vent (or if pushed, a 3" properly-flared vent) for a 12" car audio woofer. I dont think the OP has a round vent. I'm guessing slot. But here in Trinidad ...

Re: Sub Woofer box tuning.

So it is around the correct length of the port. The box is about 1.7scf and is for a 12" MTX woofer. I currently have a 2" port about >15" long. Want to know what should be the correct size for the port length. I do have a good bass, but I think I can get more with the system. Note, ...
