Re: The NZE Corolla Thread

While fixing the door lock (driver - local 121) I removed the window and raised the mechanism too high. The auto window up does not work properly now. When it hits the top of the frame it drops back down half way. Anyone know how to reset this without removing the entire mechanism? When I replaced t...

Thanks.

I expected the changes to be limited to the body of the movie, so it was interesting to see the credits had them as well.

Wow...now seeing this. Anyways, better late than never.

After 3 visits to the shop they could not get the repairs done correctly. I don't think they had the skills or concern required to do the job properly.

Selling a car for scrap

1. Do you have to inform license office if I am selling a car for scrap? 2. Are there any steps to take to ensure that the car is not going to be used on the road by the buyer? The car is a c62A Lancer. It cannot be driven as it needs repairs so I don't want to have to deal with a transfer if I do n...

Re: Flow Internet Thread

So I finally got the update this morning. Unlike what is stated in the ad, I went from 30Mbps/10Mbps to 40Mbps/5Mbps. Glad for the download increase, not happy about the upload decrease. If I had a choice, I would have stayed with my old package. The ad actually said 30/3 --> 40/5 That's why I said...

Re: Substitute parts

I think it depends on the part you are replacing, quality of replacement and cost. On my local NZE121 I use a FRAM oil filter, generic cabin filter. However, when I was replacing the fuel filter, my mechanic suggested I used the original from Toyota.

Re: NZE121 Starting Problems

As an update, we replaced the fuel pump on Wednesday and that seems to have addressed the starting issues. Used a generic ($180) instead of an orignial ($4000). As for the for the loss of kickdown, it turns out the replacement sensors that we used were from a foreign used engine (1.6) and my local i...

Re: NZE121 Starting Problems

Experiencing this with my local NZE. Replaced the CAM and CRANK sensor, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Now I seem to have lost the "kick down". When I try to, the engine stutters and the "kick down" does not engage.

2004 NZE121 - Turning the steering wheel causes engine to stutter

Hey Tuners, I have experienced this at least 4 times, usually after starting the car. When I turn the steering wheel, I get fluctuations in the electrical power (light dim, deck cuts off, etc.) and the engine starts to stutter. On one occasion the engine cut off and all the settings on my deck were ...
