Re: Request for pics on pickup backseat adjusting

I did my own extreme build. I used 2 db drive wdx 3k subs. Box is approx 2 cubes with a pair of 3" ports tuned to 40htz. Used the original seat and still fit my pregnant wife and other baby in car seat comfortably. I got my cake and ate it too. The labor was humongous so for a build like this y...

Re: Enclosure Myths

An enclosure does not give a sub more or less wattage. It can just sound louder/quieter and various frequencies.

Re: Enclosure Myths

There is no acoustic advantage between slotted and pvc ports absolutely none. There are however advantages and disadvantages as far as the actual construction of the enclosure goes. Basically slotted ports are easier to fold in the enclosure. Pvc ports are more versatile to work with in irregular sh...

Enclosure Myths

I making a few hypothesis statements based on my very small level of trials runs as well as readings. I stand to be corrected and i will edit where i am wrong for the benefit of learning. I may even show my bass "stealth" build. 1. A sub cannot blow because it is in a slightly smaller port...

Re: What people mean by "tune a box" or what freq the box "tuned

So in keeping with the 1st post of this thread and NOT getting technical, tuning an enclosure in its simplest terms is port sizing- that is port cross sectional area and port length. They however work in relation to a number of factors. My own sequence is as follows: 1. Choose your sub- different su...

Re: Help Needed - STI

Firstly you always have little fixing to do. High performance cars need attention. From brakes to fuses to just about anything. Does not mean that something is wrong with the car but high performance requires high attention. If the car not going into boost it could be as simple as fixing the vacuum ...

Re: RE: Re: Building a house in Trinidad

Hey does anyone know the floor area ratio (FAR) that t&c limits us to? I know you can put your floor area on only 40% of the land. I read the FAR is 65%. It this accurate and is there a different allowed value for 1,2,3 story house? Huh? 40%? Buddy the house has to be 15ft from the main road bo...

Ok so after much reading and searching, tuning a box has more to do with porting. That is the length of the port and cross sectional size.

Reverse goes in very hard and every selection blinks except P and N . I got a readout and it says that the relay is bad so i changed the relay in the fusebox but it d...

Tire recommendations for drifting and some more...

1. As per topic, do the drifters locally use special brand and size of tire?

I run a 4wd turbo but nice big broad tires are too grippy imho.

2. Do drifters use a special hand brake setup?

3. Generally what drift specific upgrades need to be made?
