Re: Nissan ad y12 catalytic converter problem

If you cut out the cat converter your check engine light might stay on. There may be ways around that. Otherwise, try this: http://www.facebook.com/Carbon.Cleaning.Central

Re: CY lancer (08 lancer)

The firm usually use total oil. Check the fuse for the headlight before you change the bulb. And if it comes to that there's a cap to turn at the back of the headlight and it'll come off. Then you have access to the bulb.

Re: CY lancer (08 lancer)

Have you had any coolant issues or noticed any random increases in temperature on the dash? Monitor it. I think that light would come on for various things but since your problem is intermittent, it'll be hard to pin point until it gets worse.

Re: CY lancer (08 lancer)

The tb is easy to remove and you should remove it ( just 4 bolts). I clean it without removing the attached hoses so i just prop it place. Remove the maf sensor and clean that too. Consider if your transmission oil needs changing or the iacv needs servicing.

That's nice but if you turn the ignition on and press the accelerator pedal the butterfly will open allowing you to clean the throttle body. If this isn't enough you can also remove the throttle body and clean from either side all without having to use a scan tool in order to do the idle relearn. I ...

You should consider a better filter If you're changing your oil at 10-12000kms. Unless you're using two oems for that duration.
