Ok then..it sounds as though the alternator is the only problem now..just try another one..And see if the belt stops slipping

I no longer have the tiida.. So I can't really check it to compare...But I had to changed my alternator because it had different grooves.(amount) some ppl didn't seem to have that problem. Maybe someone else can comment about the alternator

You should probably try the 2wd alternator. Line up both and compare the distance outside the car too see if there is any difference in the pulley width etc. Carry your alternator to the forget used place and compare it before you buy it. Can't say why the belt slacker.. Have you tensioned it all th...

I think it's probably the generator... I could be wrong.. But after the conversion..It will be free wheeling... The belt does not go on the generator

The car well not cut off..it will work fine.. He eh know what he talking about. And you can't just use the shorter belt....you need the bracket etc

You can.disconnect it and convert the system to the small manual belt and tensioner

If price of gas is a problem...you can water meth and re-tune for super gas...so invest a $2800 for a meth kit...and retune for a $2000 or so.....and spend $140 in super gas instead of $320 premium......or if you don't want the meth... just retune for super.... but the car will have less power...it'...

after i hooked it up i realized i had to reverse the guages again.......only took 10 minutes to fix....
but left hand drive version does work.....just to fix the STI badging...

Got the chance to install it today. .. took some time.... about 4 hours... was taking it slow... everything works fine. ... Will post a pic maybe tmr...

This was made by defi for the Subaru.....And the logo is under the front glass and is but a sticker...only way to fix that is to remove the glass.... Will look into that later on..maybe I can heat the glass to remove it easier with scraping it ...

Seeing that I was sending it back. .I didn't want to open and mess with it.... But because of your 'encouragement' Aaron. ..I decided to give it a go.... it wasn't so simple as rotating the face. ..I had to scrap it right down.... remove the 3 guages. .... swap the one's on both ends. .. and flip th...

Oh ...I have one more question....if I wanted to keep my stock 17 rims....which I don't think could handle a brembo upgrade.....are the sti calipers from the wrx workable or better than the stock calipers?..The idea is upgrade to probably Dba rotors and change out to the sti calipers....does that ma...

Also.I.was looking at the slotted and drilled...but all I've been hearing is to avoid drilled....The benefits are negligible...And they tend to crack at the holes....again..this is what I was told..And I also read it on some other legacy forums

Thanks for the advice guys... in the end...I realised I really liked the Sti gauges... they came today....Will install soon..maybe within the next week or so

I really have been hearing bad reviews of the hawk pads...Will at least recently....I heard they used to be good...but not anymore....some ppl say even Wagner's pads are better..lol.....So far..I've been hearing good things about project mu

Yeah. .I went to a few sites and put in the year model etc and that's the numbers that came up. . DBA42650S for the front and DBA4653S for the back.... The DBA4650S are used for the older legacy models 02 to 04....Well that's what I got from the chart. .

Ok..I got my hands in a 2013 catalog and did some more reading...apparently DBA are using a new universal design for slotted rotors ...which eliminate the need for left and right versions...the rotors used to come in part numbers e.g DBA42650SL and DBA42650SR ....so now they are dropping the last le...
