Re: The Official CS Lancer Thread!

GDI engine?

Might need to do engine scan (with a proper scan tool) for error codes and perhaps a compression test.

Also check your fuel trims, long term and short term fuel trims, >10 in any one = something wrong.

Re: The Official CS Lancer Thread!

Hey guys...I have a local 2005 cs3 lancer with 4g18 and Cvt tranny. The original tranny failed on me, then I got a foreign used one from bamboo which failed after a few months...so I purchased a brand new cvt tranny about 2 years ago, however, today the transmission shift solenoids failed on me. Is...

Re: What other tranny works on a cs2 4g15 gdi with cvt tranny

Pull out a proper scan tool and check the following:

idle for the 4g15 gdi is ~650rpm
mpa on fuel rail should be 5
also check long term and short term fuel trims, >10 in any one = something wrong

error codes can point you in the right direction as well

Re: The Official CS Lancer Thread!

@gastly369 Yes it will work. @Primo-El I got the line at the bamboo last week. However be careful that your mech installs it correctly. 2 big car companies in POS installed mine incorrectly some years ago, they jammed it on the alternator and of course the line teared. Also make sure that there is t...

Yes check rear fuel pump.

If I remember right its output is 40 PSI.

Might be good to check if wiring to pressure sensor is intact as well.

Thats good thing to keep.

Someone could use the gauges if their IP gauge broke. Your current IP will have to have rpm to do that though.
