Re: Sou Sou Investment ?

The SEC won't register a ponzi scheme.
As for the name Drugs Sou Sou, it's not a coincidence that this sprung up at the same time when cash intensive businesses like bars, night clubs, fetes etc are closed and can't launder any drug money.

why don't they wear the mask properly then? why must 9 out of 10 trinis be told to pull up their mask when in a public place? the damn thing is not a chin cover. Exactly! Worse yet is they feel ppl can't hear them when they talk with the mask on, so they pull it down to speak. Don't they realize th...

Re: Sou Sou Investment ?

There's no laws in Trinidad that make running a ponzi scheme illegal. It wasn't in the constitution the British left us and we never drafted a law about it. Only angle the govt can pursue is either charging them with fraud, or for violating the securities act, which says every investment must be reg...

Re: Any TUNERS want to put up and buy a Gas Station!

Crowd sourcing is a nice concept but not suitable here. Most people don't have the risk tolerance and long term time horizon to invest in a business which will be in a low margin, highly competitive industry. Some might want to sell their share if they don't get a 50% return in the first quarter.

Re: Property Tax in Trinidad & Tobago

The property tax law/regulation/act/provision just continues to confuse me. The question of 50% trigger seems to add to the mess since the question for me is...How do they know they reach 50% if in principle they dont know what is the number that represents 100%. Anybody saw a definitive answer to ...

Reminds me of a drunk truck driver who crashed into a maxi with a set of children on the creek circa 2009. There were a few fatalities and the truck driver was wrong and strong. Never heard of a conviction for the driver.
Kids were on their way to see Lara last match at the QPO.

What's the thinking behind having the 1st semi final as well as the final start at 10 AM? Only thing I can figure is they trying to catch the UK prime time tv audience. But those early times means they sacrificing the north American and Caribbean TV audience. Most ppl gonna be at work at those times.

Your Coronavirus Test Is Positive. Maybe It Shouldn’t Be. The usual diagnostic tests may simply be too sensitive and too slow to contain the spread of the virus. Tests authorized by the F.D.A. provide only a yes-no answer to infection, and will identify as positive patients with low amounts of viru...

On August 3, we had 182 cases. Since then, 621 cases in 18 days .... or 34.5 a day.

Seems like the irresponsible campaigning for elections and lackadaisical attitude towards masks caused the spike.
