Re: Replacing two vehicles after flood losses...need some advice.

Thanks for the responses. I'll adapt accordingly.

Is local used viable? I'm seeing some good options, and I have a good mechanic who can check out potential purchases.

Replacing two vehicles after flood losses...need some advice.

Hi, all. It's been a while. I initially joined this forum for advice on my first car purchase. I decided to go with a 2008 Suzuki Swift, and it's served me well for almost ten years. Unfortunately, both my Swift and my wife's SX4 took a dip during last month's flooding. After repairing them, we're l...

Re: WTK : Roku devices and T&T Compatibility

you will need to put a US address (you can use your skybox address) on your credit card BEFORE you setup your Roku. In the setup you have to use a US address and even if you pay with PayPal they will verify the billing address on your credit card. This is to ensure that you are not outside of the U...

Where can I get a good articulating wall mount? Price Smart has this one for a little less than $1k, but I figure some of you might know somewhere else I can check for a better deal. Considering simply ordering this one from Amazon. Even with shipping, that should cost less than the one at Price Sm...

Re: *** THE OFFICIAL HOME THEATER & AUDIO THREAD**

Any recommendations for a good (preferably locally available) soundbar? I'm setting up a TV in the living room for the wife/child and visitors. Something for them to watch some Netflix, for the most part. Don't want to drop money on a receiver for it, so I'm looking for some decent, simple audio to ...

Recommend me a good smoke detector...

Moving into a new home soon and I want to buy a smoke detector and a fire extinguisher. I see a few at Bhagwansingh's, but I don't want to waste money on some unreliable brand. So for those of you in the know: What's a good smoke detector make/model to buy, and where can I find one? Any other genera...

Re: *** THE OFFICIAL HOME THEATER & AUDIO THREAD**

Duane et al: Can anyone recommend a good TV in the 46"-50" range? Low input lag is important, as I'll be gaming on it regularly. No 3D or smart TV features necessary. And from a reliable manufacturer/line. It would be a big plus if it's locally available. edit: I'm considering this 48"...

Re: .:The Official Windows Phone 7/8 Thread:.

I'm thinking 930 now as I'm sure the new mid-range and high-end WP10 phones will be out of my price range.

I'm seeing it for an okay price on Amazon, but I always prefer to buy something like that locally. What's a good phone retailer who has it in stock?

Re: .:The Official Windows Phone 7/8 Thread:.

What are the best Windows Phones on the market now? I want to upgrade from a Lumia 610 to something faster with a bigger screen. I also want something that should be fast enough to upgrade to WP10 later this year.

Thoughts?

REO consultants does the DVD decks for lifestyle. They have the adapters you'd need. I'm not sure of the price though. This is who I ended up going with. Good, quick job, good price, I look forward to long drives now. I'm thinking of putting an alpine 148bt with the power pack and metra access univ...

I read the manual. Not much help. This UPS hasn't been overloaded, and the manual doesn't have any troubleshooting suggestions.

Where can I go for repairs/maintenance on a Tripp Lite UPS?

I have the large one with a blue LED from Price Smart. 1000VA I think. 8 outlets in the back. Three years old. This morning it shut down, and since then, none of the battery-powered outlets are working. When I power it on, it displays the battery as fully charged, but the FAULT icon is lit. The numb...

Re: Audio modification and Swift's steering wheel controls..

Okay, so I looking at this stereo: Pioneer FH-X700BT

And this for the steering wheel: Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface

On the right track? Also, will it fit seamlessly into the Swift dash?

It looks kinda conspicuous, and that bothers me.

Re: What time should I get to licensing office for a transfe

That's what happened to me yesterday. Got there 6AM, seller got in the line that was already forming outside the gate at that hour, car got called about 8.15, and had to sit inside for about an hour. Left around 10.

Was told to return in a week to pay.

What time should I get to licensing office for a transfer?

I'm purchasing a vehicle from someone tomorrow, and I just want to get the details clear. Transfer fees etc are ready, but I need to know what time the seller and I should arrive at the Wrightson Rd licensing office to start the process. I've been told that I should reach for all 6.30 to get it done...

Re: *** THE OFFICIAL HOME THEATER & AUDIO THREAD**

New. I'm not an audiophile, but I appreciate good sound quality with my movies. As I said before, clear dialogue is important. I'll also be playing games on the system, so there's that. I doh even know what vintage is. Nothing too much over $100USD per pair/center. Pioneer, I went searching for tho...
