Re: Residential Generators

If so, at the least the installation isn't to code. Sir, I'd never recommend anything not to code. The plans must be approved by TTEC and the installation professionally done. EDIT: A TT$1000.00 ATS only supports 100A max. It works fine for a small house or a sub-panel. The goal is affordability an...

Re: Residential Generators

are you implying hooking the ats to house main panel and using it to swap the whole breaker panel to the generator? yeah, it easier. no extension cords running tru a partially lit house. also leaves room for future upgrade to renewables if/when Colm raise rates. oh, and the ATS is not in auto mode ...

hopefully not too late but each switch, tho identical in physical shape/size are specific to the particular door. there's some degree of electronics in each switch that makes it specific to each door.

I have a factory head unit with navigation for a honda accord hybrid (english) and the antenna module if you're interested. There's also a full guide on the web for installing an aftermarket system in this car. May also help with other similar vehicles. http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread....

Re: Need car audio advice

recommend a passive. a capacitor alone on the mids and highs will not be enough. the 8" will see frequencies above what it can play and sound terrible. you can build or buy passive. involves knowing your speaker specs, designing the xover network, getting an xover or the parts, etc... google.

Re: Centre image too wide

Moved the tweeters and applied TA much differently. Noticeable improvement but still not to my liking. Can't change the tweeter's x-over point nor TA them separately since they are running passively off a single pair of channels. I have played with intensity with good results. Tweets are now placed ...

Re: A Lil info about JLW6 PLZ

^^ what he said is right. Don't listen to men who say they got 2000rms on such-and-such sub and it playing. You want your sub to be playing for 10 years, not 3! (My JL 10W4 - yes, w4 - is 15 years old and still in my trunk playing) Set your gains to the rated RMS output of your speaker by using an o...

Re: Shallow subs.....need to know whose de best...?

The JL TW3 is pretty good in a small sealed enclosure. Good for about 500RMS... you can prob run about 250RMS in mids+highs. Would get you moderately loud.

The observation is for all music, not just the new IASCA cd.
6" and tweets in doors. (6" - stock location, tweets - high up)

angles crappy... didnt want to modify. used TA instead.

Re: do orion amps overheat

if one amp is driving more power than the other, this happens.
if one amp is loaded down more, this happens (eg - 8phm load vs 4 ohm vs 2ohm).
If a mistake was made and the amp loaded too low, this can happen.
If the amp is a class a/b and the other cooler amp is a class D, this is expected.

Any idea why my centre image is spread across the dash? On the new IASCA cd, my left of centre and right of centre are almost at the a-pillars. Re: Some good advice when planning a sound system

Good read for home audio fans. The car environment is drastically different. To achieve the same results, less focus must be placed on speakers and more on the quality of installation. That changes the PoS list as follows: - INSTALL - wiring, interconnects, reinforcements such as speaker rings, basi...

The info is contained in previous links but in short, there are no taxes at all to be paid. i.e. No MVT, no Import Duty, and no VAT provided that your vehicle is under 1999cc.
