Re: FORD RANGER PROBLEMS

As you all know I had the black ranger and I put it through more shiet than it really should have ever seen. That being said the rangers do not have the brakes that "grab" as hard as some of the other trucks do. They do however stop just as well it is just a not as hard when you first step...

Re: Total Oil

what you have to remember is the big rig (truckers) travel over mainly open road. The short haul truckers change their oil 3 times as much as the long haul truckers do. The thing is open road and constant engine speed do not product near as much soot and carbon as stop and go traffic. The other thin...

Re: V8 Gas consumption

V8 can actually get very good gas milage once you keep your foot out of the gas. I have put them in a couple ford rangers in Trinidad and the guys are saying they are getting well over 20mpg. Remember that a engine like that is doing very little work to move the light trucks we have here. IF you can...

Re: cold air intake

Get a snorkel cleaner air colder air no worries on getting water in your engine. If you flood that you need to buy a submarine instead of a ranger

K&N is 25 dollars to service and it will last longer than the truck. Try that with a stock filter if you dare.....

Re: emergency brakes and ABS+ licence office

The ABS is not connected to the hand brakes in any way shape or form. the hand brake is purely mechanical. That is the point of them. The lever is connected via a cable and no electronics involved. if the other systems fail the hand brakes are not reliant on the truck even being on or having a batte...

you want speed buy a car and move to Germany. Trucks are meant for WORK not putting all kinds of chrome crap on with 22 inch rims. I can't count how many times people ask me if I put on bigger tires will I still be able to do 160k on the road. Short answer is no and nor should you try. Trucks simply...

Re: Are body and engine parts available for this...

I can get pretty much anything you want for these and have restored a couple in the states. The v8 chevy goes in really well and sounds great. as does the toyota 4.2 inline 6 diesel. They take a little money to do right but there are very few here in really good shape and you'll have a real attentio...

Re: SUSPENSION HELP!

yunno i once chain up a friend to think there really was a hamster in the engine compartment, that lived in a little box with a wheel. When you press on the wiper-stick-switch-thingy, it would turn on a light inside the hamster's box. The hamster, seeing this signal, would run on its little wheel -...

Re: SUSPENSION HELP!

the strut was not bent the Ironman springs are under so much tension they look like they are bent when they are installed. This is normal and happens on all the trucks. The cause of this is actually the rubber on the strut hat not sitting perfectly on the spring top. When we install the kit we repla...

also check your MAP or MAF sensor. K and N's flow so much better sometimes the sensor will be bad or going bad but doesn't show up until you install the filter

Re: Question about space on one side of tailgate...

from your picture it looks like the left side got hit or had something really heavy on top of it and it bent downward. Look at the bottom of the tail light on the two side right is lined up left is not even close. I have seen this before on trucks that had been hit and not repaired correctly and it ...

You guys need to get a ground anchor so when you go to winch you have something to anchor the back of your trucks. Don't worry I'll have my stuff soon enough then I'll come along and show you how it's done. Looks like a fun but aggravating day.
