For the record, the mk5 chassis cannot camber the front. My tires always used to cut on the outside also, got even worse when my front left shock went bad.Bought 4 coilovers and the ride height dropped. The tire cutting got even worse, new tires couldn't last 3 months.Had to buy 2 camber plates for the...
[quote="Allergic2BunnyEars"When you're fully owned by Neal and Massy and NM is half owned by Southern Sales i guess the only logical conclusion is that service quality centres won't be built up any time soon.[/quote] Did not know this...so southern sales after service is poor too?
These people are faking anything nowadays..even medicine...these fellas making more money selling fake products than selling drugs..think about that for a second If its too good to be true/too cheap...it probabaly is/isn't the real deal
I had to change my water pump for my Jetta MK5 Twin Charge sometime late last year.I went to LVW Auto Supplies in Maraval and got the pump for about $3,500 if i'm correct.VW installed it..but when the car came back my supercharger was not working :| If you hear a very loud grating/squeeling noise on...
No part #'s sorry..the lady from BA is trying to get me that same information;what exactly on the MECH unit has failed.Dunno where they got the first replacement.I do a a mix of hard driving and city driving sometimes..city meaning obeying the limit or driving in the city

The loss of power from premium to super is noticeable.I realise the engine just sounds lil different and power is a lil bit less. Kirk, The Jetta wasn't designed to be a sportscar, hence the softer ...
Maybe I would go as far as to say that, the suspension in the jetta is not really all that stiff. At the end of the day this is a sub 200hp vehicle. The suspension wont he near as beefy as a car with 300hp Im guessing.Better shocks will illimnate the excessive up and down bounce, while better springs wi...
Don't ever buy Power Master Batteries...had almost 3 of these batteries die in less than 1 year in 2 different vehicles.I real sorry if I offend anyone but the batteries just don't stand up.
pistonheads.co.uk...they have a decent used car lineup
If you want launch control on the 7 speed, Unitronic (and one or two other co's) sell a remap for DQ200 that allows the feature..torque limit on the box is also increased.
When I first started driving the Jetta it used to feel one way, but then after a couple run ins some things about it change. It feels at times as if the computer is learning your driving style and adjusting its own parameters to suit
some guy on another forum trying to get a 1.4tsi to 500hp http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/381488/3019258.aspx looks interesting, checked from pg7 to pg12, couldn't find any videos of accel or dyno. do you think the 1.4 tsi is capable of 300hp or even 500hp? I have seen them do around 300hp reliably on...
