Re: Smoothest one mile stretch of road in Trinidad

Why do people automatically assume speed. It occurred to me that I can't think of any smooth sections of road across Trinidad and I'm wondering if it even exists. Does it have any engineer or contractor who knows how to design or build one. Between pville lights and gulf city lights have rough patch...

Re: PC Tech/Gaming Info Thread

Some time has elapsed since our discussion and I would like to highlight my findings/observations. Nvidia is looking into ways to have their GPUs access storage (SSDs) directly; using its cores to handle decompression, etc., in an effort to achieve something similar to what the PS5 is touted as havi...

I liked the long pit straight and a difficult to defend 1st corner...I think without the crashes and red flags it would still be enjoyable.

Re: PC Tech/Gaming Info Thread

Everyone learns something different from the experiences that they had. Even when realating the story to someone else, they will take from it what they want. I don't have that much faith in mechanical drives past the warranty period. SSDs can also fail but with the prices where they are, that is an ...

Waiting to see what the person had before. Asus can make good boards and they can also make cheap boards. Re: PC Tech/Gaming Info Thread

I think it is overkill for a office PC; unless this office is planning to try out video editing or running VMs. My CPU suggestion would be a 3100 or 3300x if they could be found at MSRP; I'm a bit hesitant about the 3200x seeing as it is a generation older and probably isn't supported by your curren...

Re: Oil change

I'm just giving my points in a discussion; it started with vehicles appearing to be overfilled by mechanics. In some cases it could be way too much. In others, the dipstick might have been used incorrectly. It might have been done by mechanics not knowing how long the owner intends to extend his oil...

It is just a scenario I gave... And that is what is stated as being normal for Subaru. That light on japanese cars is a low oil pressure light... Let's look at a Subaru Oil capacity of about 5 quarts Oil change interval 3000-6000 miles Normal oil consumption listed as high as 1 quart per 1000 miles Not everyone checks their dipstick between oil changes. Before an owner's next oil change that engine can potentially burn through half to all its...

Diesel tax? Can you elaborate on that tax. Considering premium fuel to diesel pricing and service costs it really opened my ...

Thanks for all the replies. Ended up getting Kendall Gt1 semi syn for $180 at Faiz m'bella. Needed it kinda last minute.

Not sure how good this titanium additive is but I observe that Castrol is using some form of it in one of their flagship lubricants; there must be some merit to it.
