Re: WTK -Hard starting when engine is warm

That could be a whole lot
Some sensor that could be adversely affected by heat; air temp, throttle position, idle air control valve.
Fuel filter
Damaged wires going to the coil packs
Also not a fan of iridium plugs; they just never worked well for me. I just use plain old copper plugs

Major items are timing belt and water pump if they were not done at 150000kms.

Other things to get done would be
Diff and transmission fluid
Drive belt
Cabin filter, air filter
Oil and oil filter

Re: WTK -Hard starting when engine is warm

I am unsure what your mean when you say one crank, more than one crank. Are you referring to having to turn the key in the ignition to the start position as a crank; where two cranks would mean turning the key to the start position in the ignition switch twice Or are you referring to the sound the e...

Vettel returned to the track unsafely, the penalty is just... It is unfortunate that it affected the result for the win of the race; but them's the rules

Wrong gamble to go right... Lol... Its called the racing line for a reason.

Re: Choice of Car

The most fuel efficient will be those hybrid vehicles currently. If you are trying to save money however; the cheapest vehicle with any one of these technologies (cng, hybrid) should be where you start. CNG stations are a bit limited and fill up takes some time, not to mention having a bomb inside t...

Fuel economy, emissions and performance are not mutually exclusive. In a modern vehicle with closed-loop feedback systems: Under hard acceleration or heavy load, the fuel mix goes rich.... but doesn't exceed what the ECU is capable of In those systems, Fuel is injected based on available air, not th...

Re: How often should you change your oil?

"Counterintuitively, dirty air filters don’t affect fuel economy or emissions on computer-controlled gasoline and diesel engines, as long as they were built after the introduction of closed-loop oxygen sensor feedback systems. Modern computer-controlled engines can adjust fuel injection to comp...

Re: How often should you change your oil?

so to answer adnj. Yes that is a possibility but only in older vehicles that don't have any real emissions control systems. Modern engines will detect the lower volumes of air (if the filter is dirty) and subsequently pump less fuel to match; which negates a lot of soot formation (because emissions)...

Everything that you need to know regarding oil change is in the owner's manual. If you choose to change at a different interval or use a different engine oil spec, it is your perogative. This. Everyone thinks they know better than the manufacturer. Yeah, but the manufacturer recommendation is based...

I actually enjoy the Monaco Grand Prix... It is one of the few tracks where the line between getting it right and wrong is so narrow and it severely punishes mistakes.

Re: Gov't lost $350m from tax waivers on hybrid vehicles

That is a bit of false equivalency... How can you predict how something will sell if the conditions under which the items were sold are different.

They might not have sold so many hybrids if they had taxes and duties on them in the first place.
