Right...just to clarify....drove a privately-owned frontier and felt effortless, no burnt clutch smell, so it was the company-owned frontier that has problems with the clutch due to abuse. Wasn't asking for lessons on how to drive stick, was simply querying if frontiers have a particular way to ride...

I'm not accustomed to soft clutch , rather stiffer clutch and it's a company van so I don't know if the smell is normal from other workers abusing it or my driving.

I remember my brother had that same problem with his lancer. diamond misdiagnosed the problem and wanted to charge him $4000 for some part. them guys who have a diagnostic scanner will get it right. it was the crankshaft position sensor.cost of diagnostic scan -$200. cost of CPS - around $800.
