Re: Petrotrin refinery shut down

The restart of a viable refinery operation is more than welcomed. Reconciliation of the values and culture of a trade union with those of a profit oriented business is extremely difficult to manifest and this venture's success possibilities is subject to the resultant risks. One can only be hopeful ...

Re: *** The official car accident thread***

Accidents high-lighted all seem to result from a lack understanding of the present road conditions.
To not have the convenience of your vehicle because of a unwillingness to slow down is just silly and the less said about expenses and in some case pain the better.

Mc Bean, Couva experiencing moderate showers at this time which could yield mild flooding.
Seems set to linger for awhile with thunder in the back-ground.

AC compressors taking a real licking for the pass few weeks.
Operating temps and conditions have been at extremes and if you are not achieving cooling you have come to expect during middle of day there may be no need to panic.
Everything running hotter than usual.

Re: San Fernando to Point Fortin Highway

This project has gotten so messy and confused, citizens just seem to have gotten to a point where expectations for some kind of completion and the associated opportunity to commute north to south efficiently and comfortably has dwindled to nothing. The dream to take family to visit other family in t...

Re: Power outage Eastern areas

Over the last 6 weeks Mc Bean, Couva has been hit with numerous outages lasting from a split second to a couple of hours. The impact on communication and appliances continues to be negative. Lights with electronic controllers end up with shortened life spans and having avoided the wireless 'upgrade'...

Re: The official tropical weather thread 2019

I have always wondered about the Bahamas ability to deal with a really bad hurricane. The place is really a beautiful creation of the sea, since its made up of a collection of coral islands with no meaningful elevation. The horror that now unfolds may only be explained by an understanding of nature ...

The West Indies seem to be clearly no way able to cope with the Indian game and capability. This match-up pragmatically speaking can only be about showing the West Indians how hugh a capability gap exist and how steep a hill our game has to climb. Unfortunately, the flip side could also yield real d...

Re: Watson Duke Charged For Sedition!!

The utterances of many of our 'leaders' have historically proven some lack of judgement, but to reach the level of sedition the standard in law is much higher and is akin to a constructive utterance designed to over-throw the govt. The DPP seems at this time to be over-jealous and bent on teaching t...

We have lost 2 infants this week in our country under circumstances that can break the most hardened ...
