Re: R.I.P Rawle E Francis.

I remember Rawle from Fatima days, especially. We were both money-conscious and compared the bills in our pockets regularly. ** dunno why ** Rawle once marked a $5 note with his initials to see if it would ever come back around. And sure enough, it did after he exchanged it with a maxi conductor. It...

Re: 3NE2NR Official Phototakerouter & Photography Thread...

Love your shots mr kessy! I own the 24-105. Its totally worth it (and more) at the current price point. I find nothing wrong with it at all, and I love it for its strength of consistent aperture. My only thing, as my friend DVSTT would agree is that I wish it came as f/2.8. There's the 24-70 f/2.8 w...

Years ago when I went drags at Wallerfield, THIS was impossible. The 12-second category was contended by small block V8s and V6s.

So I say this is a damn fine accomplishment!

Hey Aaron, I also bought the same fisheye, with removable lens hood. Loving the effects! And I paid small money to bring it in too! :)

Re: 3NE2NR Official Phototakerouter & Photography Thread...

It's called the star spider. I found several them in a garden at a house in Tobago. These were smaller than a ten-cent piece, so I used extension tubes to get closer. I used my 55-250mm at full zoom from 3-4ft away, as watching the spider emerge from its shell was freaky and this was the first I was...

Re: 3NE2NR Official Phototakerouter & Photography Thread...

By the way Aaron, thanks for sharing that shot. I'm looking at the Rokinon once more as a cost effective alternative. I really don't expect to use a fisheye very much, so this definitely looks like value for money.

Re: 3NE2NR Official Phototakerouter & Photography Thread...

Wow... I've been considering a fisheye for a lil while. Canon's 8-15 f/4L is too expensive for the little work I expect to get out of it. I'm actually looking at the Sigma equivalent to that Rokinon. Any editing was done to this photo?

Re: 2012 Corolla vs 2012 Elantra

I am inclined to think you missed the point I am trying to make. Personally, I think all cars are too expensive, including this new Elantra that is the subject of dicsussion. But if it's what you want and can afford and what you like in a car, is it not then value for YOUR money?

Re: 2012 Corolla vs 2012 Elantra

Well, I must say, this thread has been informative and entertaining somewhat. Thanks to a lot of experienced drivers and owners right here, I think the average buyer can make a relatively informed decision. Personally, I own 2 Toyotas. They are all I have ever owned, but I have driven lots of other ...

Re: When will Taxes be removed on CCTV systems....?

They say "as of next week", but if the customs act has to be amended based on the AG's legislative amendments, then this could probably be a proclamation by the next general election.

You all realise that in order to win, the artiste has to - at the very least - PERFORM, right?

So, how is Superblue gonna pull that off?

From the moment he sees the fans throwing and tossing powder into the air, he might start having flashbacks from a few years (or minutes) ago.

Re: Students with beards sent home.....WAYYYY!!

I can't imagine what's the problem with boys growing beards unless they don't maintain/groom the damned things. Facial hair is a natural thing. For most people, the pattern and rate at which it grows can't be helped. When I was in form 1 (at age 11), a fellow student was shaving every 2 days to keep...

Re: When will Taxes be removed on CCTV systems....?

I brought in another lens last week... paid US$450 for it online, declared it as a CCTV accessory for US$45 and paid VAT only on that price (TT$45) - no duty. So, there's inconsistency (as usual) with Customs.
