Re: ***THE FARMERS CHED***

Yeah, i will try a new blade and troubleshoot from there, possibly one of those 3 point ones. It's a Makita 36v brush-cutter so the typical gear housing actually houses the electric motor. Only thing at the head that might cause vibration is the bearing, but I'm not getting any type of play when i s...

Re: ***THE FARMERS CHED***

Bumped my brush blade on some old iron hidden in the grass, now its out of balance causing the wacker to vibrating badly. Tried for the last 3 days to grind/balance it on a nail but no luck, not sure if the nail setup will work for this type of blade actually. Is there anywhere that re-balances thes...

Diesel engine oil : API grade CF-4, JAS0 DH-1 Reason I'm asking, according to the JASO Engine Oil Standards, the oil I'm running now...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Afternoon Guys, has anyone experienced or know what might cause an engine oil leak from this area (green arrow). Appears to be between the Engine and Trans. Any assistance/advice would be very much appreciated. Its a manual 6 speed btw.

Thanks..

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Had the 'Sports Version" emblem removed from my van after getting the tailgate re-painted. ABW said it was rubber and it got damaged when they were taking it off.

Long shot, but does anyone know where i can get that emblem?

Thanks....

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

So i went by REO Auto in EL Socorro to have the OEM Alarm upgrade done to the NAV. They used the Automate AM 1.5 alarm system. Cost $1200. The fact that the OEM Alarm Upgrade used is US$50 - 60 online doesn't bother me as much as below. While going thru the alarm features, the guy told me he cannot ...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

In terms of security, the van comes with an immobilizer and alarm (Stock), the alarm only goes off when its armed and a door is opened, it does not have a shock sensor to detect vibrations, kick, etc. I would like to add a shock sensor but more importantly i want to keep using my existing van remote...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Thanks kerwinishere/tr1ad, i'm not going to worry about it esp if vents/etc are possibly involved, usually its on face all the time and that's generally fine, was only thinking if the front windscreen gets frosted up and i had to run the defogger on the front, which it doesn't seem to have a setting...

Going to call Maska in the morning, hopefully they bringing in manual Navs (face-lift). not a fan of all the frills that come on the van though, but maybe some of it can come off. Prefer the stock look.. M.Rampersad only bringing in automatic and they are out of stock until May, they said. I'm even ...
