Re: The Official Skybox Thread: Take 2

Is that the freight cost or the price if you buy it from them? Just checked a similar item that's 7US and their delivered price is 22US. With other skyboxes you'd pay around TT$30 minimum shipping charge(5US), 7%OPT, 30%duty, 12.5%VAT which ends up to 56% on 7US is around $4. Total price landed shou...

Re: Precedent set: Local family sues and wins over social media posts.

Some lawyers just found a new revenue stream! If pseudonyms and screen names are used , could someone be taken to court? When someone says something about abcd let's say, who is abcd , could someone identify him ? How can he say he is being defamed if that is not his name? I know when the police co...

Re: Floating the dollar will be our only hope!

Yes that's the one in duty free. The cambio in there charges $8.62 for 1 USD so even a low withdrawal I made of $40 ended up costing tt$8.22 instead. It's really just for people travelling who want to get something small without the hassle(and cost) of going to a bank. Especially when some banks tel...

Re: Churchill Roosevelt Highway Extension to Manzanilla (CRHEM) Project.

Any government that signs a contract with those allowances in THIS country knowing fully well there may be stoppages like this is fully complicit in the cost overruns. To now try to use this high expense, that was born from their own incompetence, to try to circumvent due process is ridiculous.

What's costing $1M/day? The contract is such that work or no work they get that fee? Sounds like a sweet deal for the contractor. Hell, I'd probably get a pardner to file an injunction for me to make that money without having to do the work.

More than likely the clothes would be in boxes inside so they may randomly selected one, a few or make you bring out all to inspect. See if the clothes match the de...

So on the other side of the coin, is the Government looking to implement any measure to promote collection of plastic waste for recycling? If it's a growing industry which is having a terrible impact on our environment hopefully this is something being looked at as well. Put a 25c tax per water bott...
