Re: WTK: BOSS AMP OVERHEATING AND GOING INTO PROTECT MODE

From experience,I can tell you that these amps tend to do this,,after 40mins of playing at full blast,,,they will get extremely hot and may go in protection mode,,,try dropping the gain on the bass channels,,or,,because these amps are staggered in design(2 channels plays louder for bassline purposes...

Re: Does A Subwoofer Magnet Affect Its Performance???

In the example you used with using the 3500 coils on the pioneer,,,,[which i don't think is possible unless heavily modified, since the voice coils are of different sizes],,,there will be some problems,,,BL ,which is basically motor strenght ,,will drop in the pioneer,,causing the 3500 coil to heat u...

If you have the space to properly run 2 15s,,,,my choice will be the 2 15s,,,,,more cone area,,possibility resulting in more air movement.....

Re: Bass question

a bigger box may play a deeper tone of bass,,,not ultimately a lower frequency,,,,,frequency tuning goes hand in hand with the port,,,so i will say the lower tuned box will resonate a lower frequency of bass,,,,,but generally,,,u tune the size of the box (cf) to your sub then tune your port to the s...

Re: LANZAR OPTI500x2

This amp could play 4 10''....but not rcf......u'll need 4ohm 10s.....the amp is rated to do 750rms x 2 at 2ohm.....they can get very loud with enough battery power........the only downfall is you''ll need a cooling fan or 2.
