Re: Galant "Shark Mouth" 17s or 18s?

Well I have a EK3 hatch Civic lowered with Tein S-Techs and stock shocks, its on 17" Arospeed RS-GTs, and i have no problem with the ride quality, and the suspension parts hold out pretty well, so i guess coming from that I shouldn't complain much if I do the same with a Galant right?...

Re: Replacing 4G93 with 4G63 engine

Is the E-throttle the one that gives the problem with the magnets? converting from 4G63 to 4G93/94 I assume the transmission, harness and ECU must be changed>?

Re: Replacing 4G93 with 4G63 engine

I see the 4G63 2.0 SOHC Fuel Injected (from the local Galants) and Rated at 136 HP
The 4G93 1.8 DOHC GDI is rated at 138 HP
And the 4G94 2.0 DOHC GDI is rated at 143HP
which is the common one found in the bamboo? the 4G93 GDI?

Re: Replacing 4G93 with 4G63 engine

I'm all for taking care of an engine, but should an engine be babied as much as the GDIs? As Sensitive as they are. Also these engines will be bought used, how would one know how the previous (Japanese) owner treated it? (taking their need for pampering into account)

Re: Galant "Shark Mouth" 17s or 18s?

I'm running 18's on my Galant (dimensions escape me at the moment) previously ran a 17 inch rim. Without a drop the wheel gap on the 17's was atrocious. People constantly asked if i was running 15's. Decided to step up to 18's because every wheel shop i went to advised that 20's would put too much ...

Hmmm a D16 Tranny should work on a D15 and if a D16 Tranny not working on your D13 I guess the D15 wont either :? I thought all D-Series Transmissions Swappable....Strange Indeed :|
