https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs9k8xm3rQc After looking at the above and others on utube, I sincerely believe the first mech probably damaged the wiring to the sensor when changing the bushings on that wheel, as could happen if the wiring carried the weight of the hub before the mech realised his ...
Guys, My 2011 Sporty's ABS light is on after rear suspension repairs by my local mechanic. He says the speed sensor on the right rear wheel needs to be renewed. A second garage's scanner reports an "open or failed sensor", but says it could be a failed wheel bearing etc, which I doubt sinc...

So Guys, I got one, a Tucson part, installed by/from Jodhan's Motor Supplies, Curepe . Cost $2000 for part and $250 to install, changed the belt also at 79k kms. Now I have a pulley which was bought foreign for a 2.0L gas Sportage but did not fit the diesel, for sale. Any reasonable offer gets it.
Either the thermostat stop working or the ac compressor's clutch has failed. Condensers don't suddenly get dirty, there will be a slow deterioration of the 'cooling' over time, like weeks, not hours. Same for leaks unless a hose ruptured and all the refrigerant was lost over a short period. Also the...
My experience was slightly different. They left one of the coolant hoses to the firewall not properly secured and the coolant escaped over a couple days. Lucky me to pick it up before major damage could result from an overheated engine. Pays to double check "ALL" mechanics' work.
This site may educate some people. There is also a 76 page PDF file (downloadable) at the bottom of this page which is more in-depth. Tried to attach it but no joy. Hope it helps. https://www.gatestechzone.com/en/proble ... lure-signs

Fuel filter is easy but unplug the jack first and screw out the sensor, the wires usually rip easily when removing it with the whole filter. The filter is tightened down with a bracket u have to slacken to unscrew it. U might want to use a grip gloves on there as diesel will make everything very sl...

Mn Rd./Scott St junction, St. Augustine, sells the exact pads for the 2011 FWD diesel; ask for the Carens pads. No dust and r...

No Joy, Nick369; we also checked that the brake switch worked repeatedly; that is the brake lights came on eavery time. Is it possible that there is a mechanical fault in the gear shifter knob push-button? It's not depressing fully IMHO. Has any one changed their shift knob? How do you get it off.
Thanks for the advice, will try that in the a.m; but a computer diagnostic showed no problems whatsoever, neither with the brake switch nor the solenoid.
Help! My 2011 Sportage gear shifter will not go into the Park position and release the ignition key. Checked all fuses OK. Shift Lock Release not helping either. Operates normal with all other gear positions selectable.
