Re: Driving in the USA

Rented with hertz from MIA this past carnival, all in all a fair experience, would prefer to deal with Alamo and skip the counter. Prices were generally high for all rentals, someone mentioned using a local agent (Lazzari) and they gave me a better rate than I was getting at the time. I was however...

Rented a Rav 4 with them through Expedia and got a free upgrade to a pathfinder.
BTW it drinks gas like juice, 2.5 days in and it's almost half tank.

The 200 usd hold seems to be norm for years, so budget accordingly.

Good info man. Thanks a lot.

Consider this if you going hertz They have a agent down here in pos. You can go there and pay TT to rent the vehicle. They also have a deal for Trinidadians/caribbean ppl where they give you a voucher that the deposit/ hold on your card would only by 50 usd rather than the 300 or 400 they usually p...

Re: The DIY CCTV camera system thread

I'm currently doing a DIY install and setting a 3x3 galvanize post for the cameras.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a cap for the post? N.B It is a 3x3 post...not 3" galvanized pipe.

Was going to purchase the unit from Remote Control Gates but they are out of stock, then would have got an installer. I was looking at the Tau p250.

Re: Sailun tryes: thoughts , reviews???

I bought a set (195/55/15) for one of our hybrid cars, Sailun Atrezzo sh402 I think it was and it’s month 28 with over 43,000kms done and the wear and tear of the tyres are in good shape. Wet and dry traction is ok and road noise is not excessive. I would say this is a good gap between cheap tyres ...

The question is where to get the body parts etc for the Corolla Altis?

It looks nice, better than local, but it is the whole Singapore vs Japan convo again. Is there any new helpful info on this?

Re: Beninca vs TAU Gate motor

Can anyone recommend a good installer/company to supply and install a Tau dual swing system and that will provide proper after sale service/maintenance as needed.

Looking to get it done within the month. Any help will be appreciated. Don’t want any ‘knock off nonsense’ with their own brand.

Re: Reffrences needed for Remote gate opener

Has anyone tried the Quiko motors from Jarks? If so what is the after sale service like and what about the motor itself in terms of durability and performance?

I am interested in their high speed swing motor. Is either this or a Tau.

Re: Tech Thread - Toyota Hilux...D4D and all older models.

Went to install remote start on my 2006 Hilux, was told that it will be a problem. They said that when installed it can wring/damage the starter of the van. They said the same thing happened with others and the Landcruiser.

Anyone knows/experienced anything like this?
