Re: d' wha song hav de baddest bassline thread

Just me chiming in here as I was chatting with someone Friday. I've found that within recent times, there seems to be less quality builds and more builds just focussed on SPL. In recent times I have not seen a build like that. It's more some really ugly builds that just noisy AF. Where have the qual...

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

Don't backfill. Proper settlement may take years. So if you backfill and then dig for foundation, you will have to excavate more to get to a solid base for foundation else run the risk of building on earth that has low load bearing capacity. Do what spann suggests. Forget backfilling now. Build your...

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

Raise a lot of land? You mean like backfill? Or are you planning to fill in the land so that when you eventually build a house, the house is at a higher elevation than those around it?

I've been reading this thread intently.

Question... How do you know the frequency that your sub is actually outputting or being tuned for? Some piece of equipment used to measure?

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

I am assuming that is a wooden frames shed sheeted off with galvanise and the photo shows the hinge to the door on the left. Get a roofing place to bend a length of flashing in a L shape and fasten to the sheeting at the braces and the post on the left. Or rip a length of board, ply, teak etc and na...

Re: 2014 Toyota Hilux Vigo Champ brakes upgrade

Nope. That should not be. If you go beyond 319 mm, then yes. But as I said, Vigos came with either 319 mm or 297 mm (iirc but do stand corrected). So you should be able to upgrade to the 319 mm no problems. I know of one person who did this and didn't have to interfere with calipers. In my case the ...

Re: Hilux Rotors & Clutch

Drilled rotors is a no no. Slotted and plain. Drilled more susceptible to cracking under heat stress as metal from the rotor is already removed due to drilling.

Re: 2014 Toyota Hilux Vigo Champ brakes upgrade

The Vigo's came with two sizes of rotor. The larger size is the 319 mm diameter. You can upgrade to this size without any other work. Just swap out rotor, replace pads and good to go. I just changed mines in a Fortuner, same as Hilux, with aftermarket. Too soon to tell but for all feedback, it'll be...

Ok. I didn't know all tyres use the DOT code. I thought it was only those destined for the US... ... So what you have said seems to make complete sense and I agree. Oddly enough, I was always aware of the DOT code and ensure that all the tyres i use have the same. It was taken for granted that this ...

Re: tyre sales

So for example. I just looked at a few tyres in the parking lot. My tyres are Goodyear wrangler SUV bought from Massy ACL. The marking is "DOT" followed by 8 letters but no date marking. This tyre is made in Brazil. I know there is a date marking as this in on the inside wall of the tyre. ...

Re: tyre sales

I am not too sure that is a valid check but it certainly is a good metric. DOT markings will only be on tyres for the US market, so if a tyre was brought bin from the US and this marking is there well great. But, isn't it logical to assume that the same tyre sold in the US can be sold elsewhere with...

What is wrong with tyres made in China... Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Ok I see. But for what you got, at that price, even with today's foreign exchange "issues" and the increased MVT and duties, you really got a steal.

Quite possibly and dollar for dollar, that Mazda outshines the Korean imports, the "legendary" RAV4 and the Forester as well.

If you need to get a replacement mirror, can't you check the firm or are they out of stock?

Otherwise, try partsouq.com

They should have that. And you order online and can get it within two weeks via DHL.

This is what I have. I bought it at a Target when I went up a few months ago to replace a different one I had whose basket broke apart after about 4 years of use.

This works great.

Maybe peppercorns.

But don't waste your time on pods. Buy a reusable Keurig basket, buy your own coffee, brew to your liking and save the environment while you are at it.

Re: WTK: Garage/Driveway flooring

I used Coosal's for my mix. The sales man for my area put me on to the lab supervisor, a Spanish guy, who was kind enough to do a few trial mixes for me and put them through the 7 day, 14 day and 28 day crush tests. So really, it was to determine what would be the best mix for the screed mix which w...

Re: WTK: Garage/Driveway flooring

Did you cast the driveway or got it that way? If it's badly pitted that could be a sign of a weak concrete mix, improperly mixed concrete or aggregate that had dirt in it. The pits are a place for moss gather and thrive. TBH, you may not be able to get away from moss depending on the environmental c...
