Re: The official tropical weather thread 2020

Shouldn’t we be building for Hurricane standards ? Which should withstand a tornado which while very violent is over shorter period ? Tornados are a different beast meng 1.JPG 2.JPG Yea I know they deliver peak higher speeds but hurricanes can be slightly lower but sustained over hours. If you buil...

Re: The official tropical weather thread 2020

Well the brick walls may still be standing, but there is still going to be devastating destruction to the building. Unless a structure was purposely built like a bomb shelter dome to withstand a tornado, there is no chance. Maybe if you have a 4 inch concrete floor above you and you're living downs...

Re: Coolant, Radiators and cooling system. Part 1

What do I look out for when buying a radiator cap? I previously had a metal radiator in my car and put back a plastic one. I was doing some troubleshooting and used the cap(which basically new) from the metal radiator in the plastic one and it wasn't a tight fit and when I drove the car it leaked co...

Just saw a pic of a funnel formation in barbados. So I think this is a new threat we should be mindful off. What are the things we should do in the event of a serious one touching down?

I personally am afraid to buy a local used car reason being how people treat cars here. I would only consider it if I know the seller personally and I know they treat and maintain their car well.

Re: Have any of you used CDAP?

Eutirox/Euthyrox is made by Merck. A huge German pharmaceutical company, so I assume that it's made by them using their very strict standards and controls despite the country of manufacture. However they recently changed their excipient formula (not active ingredient) for that medication with EU ap...

Levo-T® made in PR, USA? Or generic Levocet made in India? If you submit the same medication to a chemistry lab they can test and compare them (Pennywise vs. other pharmacies) and then you can easily get a lawsuit going and win. Eutirox, not sure where it's made but the packaging looks exactly the ...

I hearing that for the longest time. The prices are really good. So good that people saying it's fake medicine. What would be a good protection to put on an a/c unit? We've been getting low voltage in the penal area over the last week and last night my living room unit cut off for a few mins then came back on I assume because of low voltage. I have one of the excelline voltage protection on that unit.

So interesting story.... I had a problem with my electronic power steering and the mechanic told me it could be a weak battery causing it. So I went to the dealer of my Rocket battery and did the battery test and the battery was going bad. I bought it only 15 months so it was covered under warranty....

Re: Oil change

My dad always taught me that overfilling can cause the seals to damage and leak. Just because your oil level is on the low mark doesn't mean there is almost no oil in the engine. My car takes 3.5 qts of oil and to fill from the low mark to the high mark it takes maybe 3/4 qt. So even if it is on the...
