Re: Vacuum Pump oil leak

It's not the vacuum pump. The fuel pump timing gear is right above the vacuum pump, and that has an oil seal.

Re: Wlt oil leak

Yup. Pulled it down and it was the injection pump oil seal. Changed it and it seems ok now.

Re: Wlt oil leak

Wouldn't it be diesel fuel if it was the injection pump oil seal?

2 Stroke oil in diesel

I gotta ask this as I see it more and more on other forums.

Heard of people adding 1oz of 2 stroke oil per 1 gallon and their engines run smoother and better. I can maybe see this for mechanical diesel pumps, but not sure for CRDI.

Any thoughts?

Re: how do i increase fuel in a turbo diesel?

OK, here it is and I want some feedback please? BE CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS! On a VE pump like what I have, there is a screw just about the output lines to the injectors. If it was never adjusted, there will be a collar on it and you will have to pry it off. This screw adjusts the over all fuelling t...

Aaaammmm only use K&N if you want dirt in your engine. More airflow means more dirt in.

Re: Oil from breather hose intothe intake

1/3 (one third) of a quart a month. That's not really that much but it is concerning. Did some research on the catch can thing and it seems that you have to be careful there, and not install one that is restrictive. then again, there are some folks who just recommend installing a in-line strainer. I...

Re: Oil from breather hose intothe intake

This seems to have got messed up there. I was asking if anyone heard of oil coning from the breather back into the intake? It seems to be common and people have been installing catch cans and other options.

Oil from breather hose intothe intake

Anyone having problems with oil coming from the breather hose back into the intake in a turbo diesel? Ive been losing oil and I see it in my intake coming from the breather hose. Ive seen many people talk about this on other online forums and they install an oil catch system.

Re: NEED HELP !!! hard starting

16mm bolt that is very close to the fuel line going to the intake manifold. There is a fine mesh filter in there that is the last line of defense for the fuel injectors. Remove the bolt and ise a pencil rubber to remove the filter mesh.

Check that little mesh filter on the fuel intake under the 16mm bolt. Check glow plugs. Does it start eventually and run okay?

Re: Coolant filter

FL22 Mazda coolant has a long life (approx. 5 years) and I am concerned about deposits that could clog the radiator. Here are some of the options below.

Re: BT 50 Burning oil

Make a good inspection under the truck and make sure there are no wet spots. Could very well be the head is burning oil as in the seals, or your turbo as someone else said.

Coolant filter

Anyone ever heard of a coolant filter to filter out the particles that lead to blockage? I've seen a couple options and researched it but not sure if it is really a great thing.

What oil are you using. Was using Shaeffers and that was burning off in my engine. Had to add oil every week. Same with Royal Purple. Redline seems to be not burning off.

Re: cracked head on BT50

Get some advice on that. Your truck is under a factory warranty as well as a dealer warranty. Two different things, so talk to someone in Japan in Mazda. If they can prove that bad or non service caused the problem, I can understand that but the factory warranty should still stand once it was proper...

This algaeX thing seems like a snake oil product like putting a magnet on your fuel line to magnetize the fuel and make it burn better. lol

Re: cracked head on BT50

Diesels can overheat so fast that you have to time to react. I'm looking onto an option with an temperature monitor that alarms when it has past a set threshold and it monitors the head. Check out this site -

Re: Help anyone B2500 4X4 RFW light on dash.

The RFW remains on even after switching to 2WD and this is normal until you press the switch. Sounds to me that your vacuum system that controls the switching may be at fault and this is why it is not working. There are a couple of relays that control that too and these are close to the intake manif...

Re: Quick Diesel Ques?

Ammmmmm I think it is safe to fill your tank while idling. I have a turbo timer and am filling while it counts down all the time.

There is nothing to prevent diesel from frothing really. Jsut slow the flow when it is getting close to the top.
