Re: 2010 swift sport emissions warning light.

Light went out by itself. Definitely a batch of BAD gas. Changed gas station, good to go now. wish we could get 98 at the pump.... a dream in the Caribbean lol.

Re: 2010 swift sport emissions warning light.

Thanks Pete. Im using the stock filter. I think the problem was bad gas. The octane booster fixed the hesitation/sluggishness. Ill be thinking twice before going back to that gas station....

Re: 2010 swift sport emissions warning light.

Asked my mechanic about it the same day. He was suggesting the O2 sensor or cat being clogged. Our 95 octane fuel isnt the best for these cars either. Needless to say, the light turned off by itself later the same day. Gonna get the car serviced soon (to help sluggishness?), but in the mean time im ...

2010 swift sport emissions warning light.

Today the emissions warning light came on as I was flooring it in second gear (felt sluggish by the way) with three ppl in the car. Car has been using 95 octane for most of its life (except for a few times i threw in some octane booster), as its the only fuel we get. Any one has any thoughts on how ...

Speedometer apps

Has anyone here every used one of these to check car performance? Im using Ulysse Speedometer. In addition to the speedometer, it can tell you your 0 - 60 and 1/4mile times. Most reviewers say its pretty accurate. (dont expect 100%) Try it out and let us know what you think!

Re: Swift gti wiring issues/ timing advance.

I NOW have Power Windows!! :D Created my own circuit using 2 DPDT switches, Cigarette lighter adapter, 20A fuse, wires and electrical tape lol. Its temporary(ish) (twist and tape) but IT WORKS!! Breeze in the cabin feels nice 8-) Those two empty slots left of the steering wheel come in real handy!

Re: Swift gti wiring issues/ timing advance.

Re: Swift gti wiring issues/ timing advance.

Thanks for the info. This week been having trouble starting the car, battery issues i think. The other day a bus cut me off at the traffic lights and i stalled out. Re: Swift gti wiring issues/ timing advance.

Thanks for the info. Question: is it possible for rev-counter to "slip"? Ive noticed it once or twice now...say im in 2nd gear then i slowly press the pedal to the floor, at 5000rpm the needle drops down slightly (sound of revs continues to climb) then the fuel cut comes in at around 6500r...

Re: Swift gti wiring issues/ timing advance.

Re: Nitrous oxide on Suzuki Swift Sport or GTI?

I have a 35 shot on my SSS. I use it very rarely, but when i do it surprises those honda civic guys. Changes it into a mid 15 sec car. May up it to a 50 shot but not anytime soon. Lots of fun as is. Use sparingly.

I hear u. but nitrous is not just for drag racing. Maybe it can help get u out of trouble, like passing a truck on roads with few passing opportunities.....Any thoughts?
