All of a sudden, my 1KZ started to burn excessive fuel in the Surf, almost double what it usually uses, it went up from 55cts to 80 to 90cts per KM. I end up buying a new direct fit alternator, 140A, that is double the output of the original one.

Does anyone know if the alternator from the 1KD (2014 3L hilux) has the same mounting pattern as the 1KZT (SR5 and Prados)?

how much those rainbird valves costing? i just setup a regular timer and using it to power a normally closed solenoid valve to water my tomatoes they are fed with another timer running a leo pump of nutrients tank I think It was about 20US for one. I brought them in, about 25 or 30 in 2021 together...

Wire Nuts.jpg


Looking for weather wire nuts for electrical connection, similar to the ones pictured.

It has grease inside to prevent moister ingress and reduce/eliminate corrosion.

If I can get it down hear rather than bring it in.

Since my head went 2years ago, I changed the engine and I bought a head and have it parked down, just in case.

Wanna know about the EGR delete, when I bought the replacement engine, the manifold was real gunky, cleaned it out but never follow up on blanking off the EGR.
