Re: Accident on UBH

How is it other countries have speed limits well above 80km but don't have problems with fatal accidents in large numbers? More intensive vehicle inspections? *shrug* They don't have our piece of sheit driving test which so many still can't pass even with an automatic vehicle, that they then take t...

Re: HTPC/XBMC

What's the cost to get a Raspberry Pi to a level where it's running XBMC and connected to your TV to play 1080p? Unfortunately it works out almost as expensive as a roku or atv. Pi - US$42 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SQ ... UTF8&psc=1 Heatsink - $6 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C...

Re: HTPC/XBMC

yea,the only problem with the PI is that anything above 720p will lag significantly. Haven't had a problem playing 1080p files in xbmc on my Pi. Slightly overclocked, and playing from an SMB share over ethernet. Menus are a bit laggy compared to xbmc on a PC, but once the video starts, it plays ver...

Re: ECU Location

The DOHC 4g15s that came in the foreign used CK2s do not have separate Engine & Transmission ECUs (technically ECUs and TCUs lol). There is one large combined ECU/TCU that sits under the dash, directly in front the shifter (you have to remove the centre console to see it). In cars that have sepa...

Re: Motor Mounts

Cheap engine mounts aren't as good at dampening the vibrations. At least that has been my experience with mitsubishi cars... yet to try an OEM mount in a suzuki but it's most likely the same story. There's a reason genuine mounts cost so much (and it's not just because the company rips off their cus...

Re: WTK: CK engine upgrade (CK wizads help plz)

All the accessories like the a/c, alternator, power steering etc will work. The transmission will work. Intake & exhaust manifolds are different. Some sensors may be different too, so not sure if the same harness & ecu will work.

Re: Help with sensors on a 4g15 dohc

Pink wire is for the A/C. At least on mine... my car was a local CK1 (4g13) which I converted to 4g15 dohc. The only wire that didn't match up was that pink one, which seems to control the A/C compressor kicking on and off. Simply ran a wire from the pink wire on the ECU harness inside the car, out ...

I guess ppl have good and bad experiences... mine were all bad lol. Parts are NOT that hard to find... might have to look around a bit but generally everything can be found in the bamboo. Prices tend to be slightly higher than Nissan, but no where near as expensive as others like Honda. And of course... if you don't have to get parts that often, that's even better! ...

The foreign used 4G15 DOHC works very well, fits bolt for bolt (no fabrication), and it quite peppy for this car. Some come with a tiptronic transmission too which makes it that much more fun.

Unlimited data plan from TSTT is only $99 a month now, and you can download apps that do all the 'blackberry' type services (push mail, messenger etc). TSTT's edge is a bit slow but it does the trick. Don't really know why anyone would bother with the blackberry plan.
