Re: TTASA installs continuous reinforced concrete barrier at Wallerfield Raceway

They are installing this on the southern side of the main straight not so? Besides the metal camera mounting arch, what else is there to hit on the southern part of the straight? Cuz patrons are not allowed there. I know gravel traps are mostly for corners but wouldn't that have been a better soluti...

Re: 1ohm vs 4ohm for sub woofer

Clipping is when the amplifier begins to send direct current to the subwoofer. Um, no. It's a clipped waveform, which basically consists of a fundamental and odd-order harmonics, not direct current. Most amps have protection circuitry that shuts the amp down if it starts to pass DC anyway (usually ...

Re: 1ohm vs 4ohm for sub woofer

Running your class d amp at full load for daily playing with stock electrical system can lead to inaudible clipping which can eventually damage the sub as well as the amp. Why will inaudible clipping eventually damage a subwoofer or amplifier? Because of the nature of what clipping is. Amplifiers s...

Questions on the fixed speeding cameras: 1- Two cars driving past the camera. One driving at 50kph. And the car beind which is travelling at 110kph. Let's say the one travelling at 110kph triggers the camera at the same moment when he meets the person driving at 50kph so they are both in the image r...

ASI audio solutions is the manufacturer. And that's a dual 10" subwoofer in a bandpass box. I believe each subwoofer is dual 4 ohm. Probably about 300w rms each. 1400w is max power for both of them together

Re: Speed limit to be changed

From the comments I've seen here I know I'll get bashed of my statement but y'all rely don't get it. 80kph is ridiculous for a 3 lane freeway in 2017 where the braking distances of vehicles have drastically decreased from the 60's. It hampers productivity when people need to great distances to and f...

Re: RB20det Tach install...

Their instructions said to tap the +12v power ...

Re: RB20det Tach install...

You tried wiring it up like in the diagram solo posted? Not sure what wire 49 does ( I don't have a RB). It could be a constant 12V But from the diagram it looks like the 10k resistor is a pullup resistor. ie it pulls the signal wire up to 12V when the output from the signal wire is floating. When ...
