Thanks for the response, let me see if I understand where you coming from; the spark plug is recessed inside a tube and there is oil seal around this tube preventing oil from inside the rocker/cam shaft cover getting into this tube? If this seal is worn does that mean that oil will gain access to th...

What is oil doing up there? Sorry if this question may seem stupid but I have never ...

What ecu to get for mivec?

I have a GDI1.8L with the MIVEC head in my lancer, and was thinking of getting an after market e-manage to really get everything this engine has to offer. Should I get a greddy? if so which one? And do you know anyone who can install and configure it?

thanks

Strange revs on my MIVEC, engine light coming on

Hi tuners, I have a CK4 MIVEC Lancer. Only have it about 5 or 6 months now and it is a joy to drive. It actually has a 1.8GDI block with the MIVEC head. Within the past month or so I catch my self driving at a moderate speed, nothing crazy just cruising and all of a sudden the rpm drops and I have n...

What kind do you use and how often:?: I have been using one made from "Prestone" that is not too bad. I use it once or twice a month. It Increases performance and smoothens out acceler...

Where to put tach with shifter light?

Hi everyone, I bought a MIVEC lancer a few months back, it came with a tach gauge with a shifter light screwed on top of the dash (to the left of the area of the original gauges). There are two screws that hold down the the gauge but over time those screws are not holding anymore and are slipping ou...

What a great weekend!! Good job TTRC. Everything went smoothely and safely. Too bad I missed the Bronte stage on Saturday (reached too late), I was hoping to see the WRC Subaru at work, oh well the other drivers were just as entertaining. My friends and I had a great time, we were there on both days...

I want to sell my B12. Runs very well. Needs a little body work, but very good car overall.
